Dear Walt Disney,
Disneyland, a place that’s filled with joy, laughter, and known as the happiest place on earth. But, is it the happiest place if you end up being broke because you just spent $1000 on a pass?
Since the day you created this land, more than 600 million guests have visited the resort. Last time we recorded, in 2012 averagely 44,000 visitors would come per day. I myself, have been a passholder for most of my life, 13 years exactly. Ever since I was a passholder, I enjoy your creativity and imagination: the fun attractions, thrilling rides, great parades with our favorite disney characters, and performances with booming fireworks. Disneyland is a place where I made fun memories with my friends and family. Sadly, this year is my first year not owning a pass, and I can...

An open letter to Avenged Sevenfold:
Hello, this is one of your loyal fans. I've been listening to Avenged Sevenfold for about 7 years now. I’ve listened to every album you guys have put out, starting with Nightmare, and till this day Nightmare is one of my favorite albums of all times right before City of Evil. I love the vivid guitar riffs of Synyster Gates, the thundering drums of the Rev.
However, this letter isn't about that. This is a letter distressing my concerns on the lack of impact of your latest album. At first “The Stage (song)” seemed promising as the eargasmic guitar riffs of both Zack and Gates and the excellent drums of Brook Wackerman. But when the full album was released I found that the vivid guitar riffs present in previous album in City of Evil, yourself titled...

I recently watched the movie "The Shack" with my wife. I've never read the novel that this movie is taken from, and so my comments are based purely on the content of the movie itself, and not any specific passages from the book. Since any excerpts from the book that I might take theological issue with do NOT appear to be in the movie, it doesn’t deter my appreciation for the fact that this can be a great springboard into many useful conversations about God and how He works in our lives.
I was actually quite pleased that, for once, a mainstream movie with a “Christian” theme didn’t have the bulk of its message watered down to fit into a Hollywood agenda. The themes of “why God allows bad things to happen to good people,” “dealing with the guilt and shame of our sinful behavior,” “...

Dear Karan Johar,
Shame on you!
First for taking a casual ‘coffee show’ comment and making into a ‘moment of the show’, and then outrageously venting your heart out against one of the most talented actresses of today’s times at a forum such as LSE where she wasn’t co-invited or had an opportunity to put up a defense. If you felt so strongly about the ‘nepotism’ comment, why not respond to it on your show in a face-off? Why not walk out or have your invitee walk out? Leave behind the negative energy there and then?
Second, for having the limited artistic capacity to take the comment literally as offering your ‘brothers, sisters, daughters’ roles in films you make. In that limited discretion of yours in understanding the noun you have completely omitted the ‘close friends’ who...

Hi Lin,
I want to start with the truth: I love Hamilton. I loved it from the moment I first heard it and I’ll love it for the rest of my life, even if you don’t respond to this letter. In fact, I’m listening to it right now. “I swear your pride will be the death of us all; beware, it goes before the fall.”
No great work of art is flawless, and though Hamilton comes close, there is one major flaw that I want to bring to your attention. It’s this line: “Madison you’re mad as a hatter so take your medicine.” The problem? This is clearly an insult, and mental illness should never be used in such a way. This is clearly ableism. I’ll break it down for you.
First, “mad” is considered a slur by many. I don’t know if I would go as far as to label it as such, but I do know that it has a...

Okay, now you can get off your high horse.
Since the 2016 election cycle began, you have been up there, passing judgement to the now elected President and his voters. Now, I don’t disagree with you – he is quite rightly, a bawbag. But in this political climate where the victims of bigotry, racism, financial burden, illness and sexual assault are still being suppressed – you award a man the highest achievement in his field. Best Actor in a Leading Role. After shaking your fist and pointing your finger at all that voted for the ‘pussy grabber’, you did the same thing.
You spit on the face of all who marched on January 21 2017 to fight for our voices to be heard.
You spit on the face of all women and men who are victims of sexual assault.
You spit on the face of HIS victims of...

Now is the right time to tell the world why I have loved Nashville so much over the years. And trust me I will always love Nashville.
A few years back, I don’t even know where Nashville was in the US, I have no idea what country music was, and I didn’t even know most of the cast … I was looking for a TV Show to watch and I read some pretty good things about a show called « Nashville ». I fell in love with it from that very first scene between Rayna and Deacon on the bridge … I’ve been a huge fan since then. I never thought that a TV Show can actually change your life, but it changed mine as well as the life of so many other Nashies. I’ve been so proud to be part of this huge community of fans.
Thank You Nashville for giving life to so many awesome characters. Among them, Rayna...

Dear Olinda,
I must say my heart broke seeing you in the state you were on your first live video. As someone who has suffered from depression and felt so upset to the point of suicide because of the way a loved hurt me, I get it, I get you. I know you are hurting. It’s a type of pain that nothing anyone says can help. I understand, I get you. I guess what I’m trying to say is Be strong, be courageous. It sounds hard now but trust me you’re stronger than you think. You will get through this. There will be better days. Be strong, do it for your children. You’re all they have. Do it for you, you’re a hard worker. You deserve to be happy. Stay Strong Olinda. I understand.
Yours Sincerely,
Annonymous

Dear 2017,
Today is the day you see the light and spread your wings over this world for a whole year. A world who is welcoming you with great expectations, long wish lists and a heavy baggage of unrealistic resolutions carried over the years.
What a huge responsibility for a new born, I know!
But darling, do not fret. See, us human beings, experience the utmost love twice in our lives: When we come to this world and when we leave it. And to anchor this habit, today you see billions of us coming to you with open arms and hearts filled with love and hope, dreams and big plans. Embrace it, enjoy it, soak up as much as you can of it while it lasts, because soon, much sooner than you could imagine, you will be regretted, blamed for horrible things and we could not wait for your...
