This is an open letter to President Donald Trump and Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
Gentlemen,
I am deeply disturbed by the comments made in the last few days by both of you, Mr. President and Governor Dan Patrick. Mr. President, you have been talking for weeks about keeping the American people safe, getting cash to them, helping them to keep their jobs, so we can all stay safely out of the way of the Coronavirus. Suddenly you announce you want to reopen the country by Easter, have all churches packed by Easter. How many people in those packed churches in less than 3 weeks will have been exposed to the virus? How many people will get infected and this mess starts all over again.

In a bizarre story of American veteran Bruce Gorcyca working in China 11 years as a corporate trainer and 3D artist, he was arrested on April 11, 2018 for an expired passport that the U.S. embassy refused to renew without explanation.
The police told him it was an "administrative violation" that required him to pay a $2,000 fine and spend 15 days in jail. Gorcyca complied without incident. The U.S. embassy reps were supposed to visit him within 7 days. They didn't. The U.S. embassy reps were suposed to bring him a new passport so he could go free after 15 days. They didn't.

This is a request for sanitation support for vulnerable people in the West End and Granville Street North.
In an extremely small area surrounding St Paul’s Hospital in Downtown Vancouver there are SRO’s, a low-barrier community centre, multiple supported housing buildings, primary care clinics and a large number of seniors and unhoused people. There are no hand-washing stations available outside, in a place where many spend days and nights in close contact with others and without access to running water and soap. There are currently no accessible outdoor hand-washing stations outside of the Downtown Eastside at all.
