To the man who raped me
It has been a little over two years since you have stripped away my innocence, since you took away every ounce of respect I had for you as a brother in arms, in uniform, suppose to protect me from all wrongs. We wore the same uniform, with the same tape on our left chest pocket.
April is the actual month for Sexual Assault awareness, but I am well too aware of my assault every day of the year. I wonder what was going through your head to make you think it was okay to break into my room and take advantage of me. To think it's okay because I possibly wouldn't remember in the morning because I was drunk ... What kind of delusion led to you to think it was okay to take everything away from me and have the audacity the next day to tell me to my face "you're too...
You Bastard!
Before we get started there is one thing I do want to let anyone know. I loved my husband. I truly did.
T,
I don't know exactly where to start but I guess we can begin where it ended. I wish you knew how devastated I was when I began to suspect you were cheating on me. It's not like this hasn't happened in the past but this one really hit home because we were married and we have a beautiful son. I guess I should have figured it out sooner.
2014
Here are the facts of April:
You started hanging out with B a week before my vacation and by the time I was gone, you were already having her sleep over at your company-provided hotel room.
That same week you emptied our bank account to provide alcohol for your party and caused our auto payments to become neglected.
You started...

Dear Man I Met On Tinder.
I was on another date when I received your message. He returned from the loo to find me in a flood of tears. He was lovely, but baffled, and hasn't been in touch since, funnily enough.
You don't have to fancy me. We all have a good friend who we look at ruefully and think "you're lovely, but you just don't tickle my pickle". We wish we were attracted to them, but our bodies and our brains don't work like that. And that's fine.
What isn't fine is the fact that, after a few hours in my company, you took the time to write this utterly uncalled-for message. It's nothing short of sadistic. Your tone is saccharine and condescending, but the forensic detail in which you express your disgust at my body is truly grotesque. The only possible objective for writing...

Just over a year ago I decided to buy a new electric toothbrush in the sale and settled on a Philips - there wasn't anything particularly wrong with my old electric toothbrush it's just that it had seen better days and didn't look too flash anymore.
My new toothbrush served me well, though I would have the occasional grumble about the unnecessarily expensive toothbrush head replacements! As there is less plastic to them then you might expect them too be less expensive than a normal toothbrush but noooo.
Anyway I could live with that and everything was going swimmingly for just over a year until my brush started acting pretty erratically. Every so often it would just refuse to stop and I'd have to either just keep brushing my teeth forever or leave it in the sink till its fit was...

Dear Donald,
You've said some pretty offensive things about Latino immigrants recently, and I think they're worth addressing. Because, you know, this is the United States of America, where I have a right to speak up even if I'm not a billionaire. Isn't that awesome?
Anyway, I heard what you said about the kind of people you think Latino immigrants are -- people with problems, who bring drugs, crime and rape to America. While your comments are incredibly ignorant and racist, I don't want to spend my time chastising you. I'll leave that to your business partners like Univision and NBC, who have the power to scold you where it hurts. Instead, I'm writing to say thank you!
You see, what you just did with your straight talk was send more Latino voters to the polls than several...

Dear Mr. Donald Trump,
I'd like to take a minute to introduce you to my father, Raul Almanza. As you so eloquently put it, he is one of the many that Mexico "sends" to this country.
Yesterday, I turned 28 years old and I was blessed to have had the opportunity to share my special day with my dad as it was Father's Day, as well. In fact, yesterday wasn't about me at all.. It was about him. Let me tell you why.
30 something years ago, Mexico "sent" my father to the United States.. or "El Norte" as we call it. It is no secret that he came here undocumented, unauthorized, or "illegal" as you call it. He worked his ass off in the fields.. traveling from state to state to find work. He helped provide for his parents and 9 siblings back home. And when I was born, he no longer held the...

Dear Blucerchiati,
I’ve been blessed to spend these past few months with you.
To my pleasure, I have discovered here a crowd of warm, passionate, affectionate and supportive fans… it’s time for me to leave, but wherever I go, I will always remember wha it is to be in a place where football is not only a passion but a way to keep a family together.
A BIG ‘Thank You’ to the UC Sampdoria staff who helped me settle down and gave me the opportunity to once again experience the pleasure to place in the Serie A. Thank you Sampdoria Lawyer Romei Antonio for his constant help… Of course a special ‘Thanks you’ to our president, a father to me, who made all of it possible. He believed in me from the first to the last minute, and fro that I will forever be grateful to him.
It was an...

*The following is an open letter from Bobby Kennedy Jr. regarding what’s happening with the CDC, African American boys, vaccines and autism. As you may have guessed, it’s not good. Read on. It’s in your best interest.
———————-
Last August, CDC senior scientist, Dr. William Thompson, invoked federal whistleblower status and confessed that the CDC has known since 2001 that black boys exposed to the MMR vaccine have a disproportionate risk of autism.
Thompson, a 17 year CDC veteran is the author of some of the leading studies cited by CDC to exculpate vaccines from the autism epidemic. Thompson, who still works at CDC, released the raw data sets that he says his bosses at CDC ordered him to conceal. Those data show that black boys who received the MMR vaccine prior to three years...

Dear Pinterest
Yesterday, I came home to an email from you saying that you had suspended my account due to "repeated" violations of your policies. And by repeated I mean two.
The fatal pin in question would not have raised an eyebrow had it appeared in the pages of a high fashion magazine – although it might be said that the lady in question had a body shape that would never be seen in the pages of such a publication. My original transgression was likewise bordering on the art house nude. I can only assume that there was nothing else you objected to on my boards, since these were the only pins you ever warned me about.
Yet someone, somewhere, must have reported them, although you did at least say that it wasn't me that had been reported but that they had been removed from another...

Happy Anniversary New York Post.
I’ll never forget the morning I opened to page 3 of your paper to see an unrecognizable photo of me with the headline “Singer Sued for Being Too Old and Too Ugly for P!NK Tribute Band”.
It felt like getting sued all over again. Publicly, I laughed and joked about it, to save face. Behind the scenes, however, I spent endless days and nights crying, sleeping and day drinking. My room mate made me breakfast for two weeks when I couldn’t get out of bed. A year later, with amazing support from family, friends and therapy, I’m finally breaking through to the fourth and final phase of trauma.
To be fair, I was already firmly in phase one when I made that phone call: Detachment. I later learned the brain loses about %50-%90 of it’s intellectual...
