To you, my loving siblings.
There are so many ways in which you have built me into the person I am today.
From the day I was born until now, you have been there for me every single day of my life. Let's remember that's 18 years. I know not everyone likes to have a younger sibling because we're annoying (not sure where everyone gets that from but I suppose it could be true) but I look up to you more than you think. You have made an example of yourselves for me, and though some of your choices weren't the best, I take the good and apply it to my own life.
Having older siblings means:
•you don't get the last piece of pizza
•you are obligated to tattle on them
•you get almost whatever you want
•you get to do things that they didn't get to when they were your age
•you never get in trouble
•they have to let you hangout with them
Those weren't great examples but maybe these are better:
•no one will physically hurt you
•you will always have someone to talk to
•they'll cover for you when your parents question you
•when they say forever and always, it's the truth
•they're your best pals
•they will always be there for you.
And though there are so many more reasons why having older siblings is awesome my favourite reason is this:
•no matter how many times a day you may fight, curse, and wish they weren't your siblings, they will love you unconditionally for the rest of your life.
Now that I'm in college, I won't need you as much as I usually would. I'll be fighting my own battles, learning different things, not nagging you about every little thing you do, and not cleaning your messes.
Not being around you is saddening, but I'm glad you were with me every itty bitty step of the way, making me who I am at this moment. Mom and dad made me the best set of siblings the world could hold.
I could go on for days about how special and important you guys are to me. You're my world, and without you I would be lost. Though I may be almost 2,000 miles away I know that we will still be closer than any other siblings.
