I'm really unhappy with the spin you and others are putting on the bears. In your recent article in the Orlando Sentinel, you did not even expose that you are the executive director of FWC. I know there are a lot of people who do not keep up with the issues with the bears and only know what they see on tv and read in newspapers. You were remiss in stating that irresponsible people continue to be the number one problem with bears. Instead you opted to make it look like bears are attacking people with wild abandon. Just as Marion Hammer with the NRA did when she said that the bears are "terrorizing neighborhoods!" This kind of misinformation is downright lying and creating exactly what you are aiming for. Justification for another hunt. It sickens me. I'm sure I can find...

I was born on a healthy island – at least healthy enough. Twenty-eight years later that beautiful island is not healthy anymore. I am sad, dead inside. The place that saw me growing into the man that I am is suffering the consequences of our unscrupulous acts, the result of our greed. We waited too long to stand up and defend the sea that surrounds our earth. It went too far, and now our flora and fauna is dead. We might die soon if we do not continue our fight. Breathing was never as hard as it is today. Yes, we are on fire. Wake up Chilote! Our island is on fire due to our united hearts and souls: Chiloé has finally awakened. Chiloé is in pain; its people need the rage, anger and hunger for payback. We need our government to show up and say they are sorry. We do not need your police...

Dear Mr. Lomborg, This letter is in regards to your opinion article in The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, April 7, 2016, titled, “An Overheated Climate Alarm.” I fully understand what you are saying as far as the positive effects that an increased temperature in our troposphere will produce — fewer people will get the cold, and fewer people will in turn die. With the data that you have laid out on the table, this seems like a valid and indisputable conclusion — but the data that you are referring to only tells a fraction of the story, and in that case you are still correct in your reasoning; but a larger “judgement” call looms ahead. I am glad that you have analyzed the data and come to the indisputable conclusion that global warming is a large issue that is a reality and will...

Dear Harris Farm, I adore your shops. I applaud your vision and commitment, every bit of it. I smile when I stop at your 'Imperfect Picks' display. When I see your ‘Love Local’ display of fruits and vegetables, I have to stop myself from fist-pumping the air. I love that you have teamed up with OzHarvest and other charitable organisations to create positive change. It really does fill me with joy to see your thriving business, built not only by the hard work of your management and team, but also by giving consideration to the wellbeing of our society and environment. It's clear to me that Harris Farm is head and shoulders above the rest - in terms of operating a business that is profitable as well as in harmony with people and the planet. You've made some courageous decisions...

First of all climate change does exist, it's been happening since the beginning of climate (which is long before humans populated this planet by the way...). Second, humans are not causing climate change but we definitely are contributing. Anybody familiar with the butterfly effect https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_effect ? Each and every one of us is by far the biggest "butterfly" on this planet, here's why... Each individual person has a very small environmental footprint (The average person burns between 1600 to 2500 calories each day, a horse or cow is around 15000 to 20000) but our support systems are simply massive. Think about this the average car burns about a thousand calories per mile, a big pickup truck over 2000, a semi around 4000 (this is based on cruise mileage, not...

Many of you have contacted me wanting to know how you can help the people of Flint with the two-year long tragedy of drinking water contaminated by the radical decisions made by the Governor of Michigan. The offer is much appreciated by those who are suffering through this and who have not drank a glass of unpoisoned water since April of 2014. Unfortunately, the honest answer to your offer of help is, sadly, you can’t. You can’t help. The reason you can’t help is that you cannot reverse the irreversible brain damage that has been inflicted upon every single child in Flint. The damage is permanent. There is no medicine you can send, no doctor or scientist who has any way to undo the harm done to thousands of babies, toddlers and children (not to mention their parents). They are...

EXACTLY one month after Yorkshire woke up to some of the worst floods in the county’s history, your wellington boots – Prime Minister – might have dried out, and the residual mud been brushed away, but thousands of our residents and businesses across the region are enduring a living nightmare which you cannot afford to ignore or overlook for a day longer. Despite your offers of assistance, and your visit to York to support the rescue services and volunteers who worked miracles to prevent a far greater disaster from occurring, they feel neglected by your Government and the countless broken promises made by you, and your Ministers, since 2010. They feel like ‘second class citizens’ who have been forgotten in their hour of need, and are angry that their properties have been put at...

Dear Squirrels, Today is Thursday, January 21st, 2016, but it is no ordinary day. Oh no. If today were an ordinary day, we wouldn’t be writing this letter to you, our natural enemy. We would be doing much more important things, like chasing our tail, or clocking in some nap hours, or sniffing sphincters. Today, however, is National Squirrel Appreciation Day – a holiday we have no choice but to embrace. You know what we appreciate about you, squirrels?? Deez. Nutz. Your ratty, despicable faces and ungodly nut-hoarding instincts are just a couple of the reasons why us dogs terrorize you and think you’re trash, but on this day we will hold back on all of our hatred. We want nothing more than to chase your incomprehensibly disgusting squirrel asses around back yards and open fields like...

We, the undersigned, are tired of your excuses. We are animals from around the globe. Strong, majestic, and beautiful. But some of us are just starting to feel vulnerable. And others are rapidly approaching extinction. We're not here to point fingers. Mostly because we don't have any. But if we're being honest, a lot of this is your fault. Well, not you specifically, but your kind. You know, humans. Thanks to some of your favorite pastimes like logging, overfishing, poaching, hunting, and being lax on climate change, we're in the weeds. In fact, it's worse than the weeds. Some of us would kill for some weeds. Seriously, it's bad. We're in trouble. But all is not lost. We're holding on as long as we can, but we need your help. And there are a few things you can do right now that...
