This is an open letter to all Australian Citizens and the Liberal National Coalition.
The government is hiding many ugly truths about the employment situation in this country of ours at the moment. They say we are headed for a recession I say that we are already in one.
The government and politicians in general are using programs such as the Certificate III guarantee and the Work for the Dole Program to hide the disastrous truth of the state of unemployment in this country. These programmes do not really increase the chances of gaining full time employment. By utilising these programs unemployment figures are falsely lowered because when people are participating in these programmes they are not considered unemployed and so do not count in regards to the unemployment figures.
Just consider that there has not been an increase in permanent vacancies within the Australian Work Force only in Part Time Positions
We have become a nation of over educated and underemployed citizens.
The current government claims that a tax break to the High End of Business in town will create more jobs. All intelligent citizens know this will not be true as the High End Town Business will not use this to provide more jobs but to increase their profits and most of the money will be taken off shore as usual. Bill Shorten is right by not giving the High End of Town these Tax Breaks the Budget will be reduced significantly.
Instead it is picking on Welfare recipients from Disability to those on other benefits like new start. They tell all of us on welfare to go get a job stated by many politicians recently. The truth is there are not enough permanent jobs around to employ the vast number of unemployed even if these people are willing and able to work.
The use of the 457 Visa is still going on and many of the occupations listed have a surplus of Australian citizens in those careers ready, willing and able to work. As an example 2.5 People for every accounting job in Australia.
Most politicians including Pauline Hanson say that to be on welfare is a privilege not a rite.
I say that to be on a politicians salary is a privilege and not a rite. Perhaps a solution to reducing the budget deficit would be to bring all politicians salaries down to the average medium income salary of the average Australian and place their wages on hold from rises. We can use the surplus gathered from their wages to reduce the budget which I am sure would reduce the budget greatly. We can also have them have a yearly review to make sure they are entitled to their wages and perhaps give them a debit card for 80% of their wages this way ensuring transparency of their spending.
I also encourage every Australian Citizen to write to their local parliamentarian and call for the establishment of a card system similar to that of Americas Green Card System. This would ensure that every Australian Citizen is given a job or the opportunity of a job before overseas citizens.
We need a government ready to address the CRISIS STATE OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN AUSTRALIA one that has a sound plan to reduce the unemployment of this country and bring back jobs for all Australian Citizens.
The current government also says that protectionism would be bad for this country I do not agree when we were a more protectionist country the average Australian Citizen was much better off in living standards and employment oppurtunities.
