An Open Letter to PM Mr. Modi

Dear Mr. PM,
I write to draw your attention towards unreserved category (i.e. general).Earlier when reservation was started on the basis of castes, there was a dire need of that. But today it has taken another course, rather than being a help to eliminate caste system and have all the people at one platform with no inequality, it has become just a tool for politicians to fulfil their personal agenda of winning election and having a good support of certain group of people. This is dividing our country more on the basis of caste which is just opposite to the aim of bringing reservation.
There is a need of reviewing reservation criterion and more emphasis should be given on the basis of income for any category rather than category.
In scholarship schemes also there should be only income based scholarships and no category wise scholarship should be given, as an unreserved category candidate also have the similar need as that of any reserved category candidate of same economical status. So just because he/she is a general candidate, there is no point of belittling his/her need. There have to be an end to this caste politics (by means of reservations) and everyone should be seen as equal with no caste inequality. Yes, it is not practical to have economic equality but we can eliminate at least caste inequalities.
Someone has to start, so why not your government, we believe in you and hope you will take the right decision.
Today we all- sit, eat, celebrate and make friends irrespective of castes. Then why we should be discriminated on the basis of caste in any other sector. Do we don’t have any responsibility towards our future generation? Do we willingly want to give this sort of environment for them to live in? No, I do not think, any of us want this trend to continue. Rather we should think about the India in which the people get what they truly deserve to get and not to be hampered by unnecessary rules and regulations of continuously changing governments.
Now people of this country are fed up with this caste based politics and we all are raising our voices towards many issues which directly or indirectly linked to this caste politics. The issue raised here is also connected directly to the caste politics and should be attended seriously. We hope you will take desired action as soon as possible and mark an end to this way of politics by the end of your first term of government.
