I understand from the media coverage of late that you aren’t having the easiest of European tours. With the latest story detailing how the Stockholm police or should I say drug squad searched your tour bus under suspicion of there being ‘illegal substances’ on board. While the chances of finding drugs on any tour bus are likely to be high, this run in with the police is only the latest in an ever-growing list of problems that you’ve run into. For whatever reason you were 2 hours late to a UK concert, to the scorn of many a British parent, then there was the altercation with a paparazzi outside your hotel, not to mention leaving your ‘pet’ monkey with German officials after not having the correct paperwork to let it travel. All these little incidences go to show that you don’t have...

Dear Mr Baauer, Undoubtedly you are a talented music producer and no doubt you deserve your recent recognition that ‘The Harlem Shake’ gave you. You have a skill that makes a track catchy and I’m in no way judging you as a musician, however I’m not grateful at all for the viral ‘phenomenon’ that ensued when you released The Harlem Shake. The number of videos my friends, family and social media have shoved under my nose of an idiot essentially gyrating with thin air until everyone else deems it fit to join in and go crazy, is astounding. I’m talking videos of kids in a schoolroom continuously hitting themselves over the head with books to the track and Russian military squads stripping to their tiny undies in a tiny room and doing oddly erotic dance moves. Basically this...

Archived from JustinTimerlake.com originally published on October 26. 2012 The last time I wrote a letter like this, it was when I had the good fortune of attending a once in a lifetime experience by sharing an evening with some of America's finest at the Marine Corps Ball about a year ago. I was so moved by that night, I wanted to share it with everyone. Unfortunately, this letter holds a different kind of weight for me. Normally, as some of you know, I am (by nature) a pretty private person. So, I don't really take it upon myself to comment on things that so often go misunderstood or something that has even shed any kind of dark light on what was and will always be one of the most special weeks of my life. But, in light of the recent events, I can't fight the urge to clarify my...

The question that I keep thinking about after news of Beyonce reportedly miming at Barack Obama’s inauguration, is whether it should be commonplace for musicians to mime to their own pre-recorded track? It is now considered standard procedure for musicians to have a pre-recorded backing track, the track is usually there as a precaution incase there is an issue such as bad weather conditions or equipment failure. In the case of Beyonce people didn’t seem to mind her miming too much as we are all well aware she is very talented. Apparently a representative from the Marine Corp Band said “there was no opportunity for Ms. Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band before the inauguration so it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill-advised for such a high–...

Dear Boys, I have been amused by the co-called “controversy” about the price of the tickets for your gigs at 02 Arena on 25 and 29 November. As someone who paid near £75 to see Rihanna and her dancers go through a lumpen over-choreographed listless set last year, after a 30 minute delay… I really can’t see any problem with your prices. Apart from the costs of staging a show at the 02, let’s not forget why you are staging these gigs in London. It’s to celebrate 50 years of the world’s greatest rock n Roll band. 50 years, Rihanna! You are all pretty rich, I guess, and could probably have hung up your guitars, sticks and microphone many moons ago. But you have given an opportunity for your fans, and for the sons and daughters of those fans, to see rock and roll legends perform live. How...

Today is a really happy day for me. The past year was a challenge, and I'm so happy to have my spirit back. I felt in chains at times. Whether is be the record label disagreeing with me on single choices, or directors who could only create an idea of "gaga" or what i've "done before" and not able to move forward, and there was also of course the incessant dragging of the most important single of my career in dead-beaten-horse-mud. Then there were all the personal moments. Betrayed by lifelong friends, mentors I've had for years suddenly taking advantage of me, and a massive struggles with my body image. I've grown and left most of these things behind, the monsters of fame are very real. But I wanted to thank you for baring with me a little bit. Today's film is what happens when there...
