AN OPEN LETTER TO Sen.Bernie Sanders
Dear Senator Sanders,
As you may have noticed lately, a rather large percentage of your supporters are steadfastly
refusing to vote for Sen.Clinton no matter the outcome of the Democatic Party Primary. I am one of
those people. Because of the principles and causes you champion, I changed my voter registration from
a proud Independent to a Democrat for the sole reason of voting for you in the Democratic Primary.
You, I believe, know how it feels to have to join a party to have your voice heard. I hold no love in
my heart for either major political party and frankly despise the so-called "two party system". I've
been an Independent since I turned 18 in 1987 and plan on becoming one again as soon as I cast my
vote in Pennsylvania.I also know lifelong Democrats that support you and are hoping that you can bring
about the change that their party so deperately needs.
I, along with what I feel are millions of Americans, will not vote for Sen.Clinton or whoever
the Republicans field against her should she win the primary. With that said, I will be writing you
in as my candidate of choice. So what I'm asking you to do here and now, is to run as an Independent
if you lose the Democratic primary. You literally owe the Democratic party nothing. They have
conspired and colluded against you the moment they realized that you were, and are, a legitimate threat
to the candidate they had all but coronated. The voter suppression and fraud that this primary has been
fraught with have nothing to do with Republicans, they have been orchestrated by the Party in which
both you and I are currently members of, the Democratic Party. I understand that you agreed to back
the candidate that won the primary, but that promise was based on a fair and just primary, not the
one that you've been engaged in.
You've asked for a political revolution, and that's what you're getting. From us, from YOUR
supporters. The $27 campaign contributors ( even though we all know that most of us have given you
$27 and more repeatedly because we believe in your work), the phone bankers, the door knockers, the
tweeters and FaceBookers and emailers and people like me who've not only done the above, but can't help
but proselytize on your behalf to any and all that will listen. We know that you poll better against
every Republican in the race, we know that there are millions of votes for you that will not be seen
until a general election. We know that you and Kasich (how he got his is a mystery to me) are the only
two candidates with favorable ratings. We know that you can be elected President.
And so it comes to this,now you owe us. You've asked us repeatedly, non-stop, for all of the
above mentioned help and we have gladly given it to you. But now, with an election that is being blatantly
subverted and corrupted, we can't believe that we might see you endorse the person for which those
actions were undertaken should you lose this sham of a primary. So I, and what's becoming a very
large coalition of your supporters, beseech you to run for the office of The President of the United
States of America no matter the outcome of the primary. We will continue to fund you, we will con-
tinue to support you and participate in every aspect of this grassroots campaign until the last vote
is counted. In other words, we are unequivocally behind you, ARE YOU UNEQUIVOCALLY WITH US? Here is
the revolution. You asked for it and we delivered, now, will you deliver for us?
