As much as I am shocked that our dear Hillary Clinton did not win the election, having #Calexit is not just too much, but also as insensitive as Trump's campaign promises. Yes, California has such a strong economy that it can be a country on it's own, but a lot of the other states needs an example to live by. In fact, we take it for granted that California can become this powerful yet other states. Imagine what America would be like if more of them became, essentially, California.
Imagine seeing Colorado building a science and engineering community that challenges Silicon Valley.
Imagine seeing Michigan bringing back cities on their shores that's on a scale similar to Santa Monica, San Diego, or even San Francisco.
Imagine seeing Louisiana and Florida celebrating their own Hollywood.
Imagine seeing Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma have plantations and valleys that can produce more food and crops than the Central Valley.
Imagine seeing America becoming California.
None of this can happen without the influence that California has been bringing to the United States of America. In fact, we have seen this influence spread as Manhattan and San Francisco compete in accelerating world trade, Boston and Los Angeles compete in creating better universities and basketball teams, and New Jersey and California compete in encouraging more immigrants to come the United States. So for those of you have considered joining the #calexit movement, stop and think of everything California has done for our country. As the 35th President of the United States John F. Kennedy has proclaimed to America, "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."
