To my special someone,
You've probably forgotten about me. It's been a year or two since we last saw each other. We parted happily. With a smile. But not knowing it was the last time we were going to be together or even see each other. Did you ever think about that time? Do you still think about it? I did, a couple of times. But this is this. We're never going to see each other again. I guess that's how I see it.
It was just so magical, wasn't it? You always made me smile. You're not funny but you always made me laugh. You always had that temper, but you managed to stay calm around me. How did you do it? Why were you so different in my eyes than in everybody else's? You always mattered to me. And I hope I mattered to you just as much.
I wonder how you've been doing since we last saw each other. Were there brand new heartbreaks? Or is it still that girl from the castle? Remember her? The one who hurt you the most? But I bet you've moved on from her by now right? It's been years.
She deserved someone else. You deserved someone better.
I heard you also had a special neighbour. But I guess even that didn't work out right? At least now she's far away with the man she loves. Happy.
Which you should be too.
You're probably thinking why all of this is happening right? Well, you and I always believed that God has this plan for us. I always told you you'd get someone He wanted you to have. Not the one you wanted. I know. Because He never gave me the person I wanted either. But it's all in the works. We both know that.
I wanted to write this to you. And I'm hoping you'd see it. We used to make these open letters a lot, communicating with each other and with the world at the same time. I thought it was beautiful. Do you?
I wanted to know. Is there someone new? Someone you're planning to offer your heart to again? Someone to love with all your heart all over again? A brand new chapter in your life?
I know you. I know how you exert effort. How you lose yourself in this. But I always supported you because I know how important this is to you. And seeing you happy, well, it makes me twice as happy.
If there's someone, do you really love her? Does she love you? What's it like? Is it magical too? Does it feel amazing?
And now that you've grown, I bet you learned 100 more ways to make her smile and laugh. And I really hope she does. Just like how I used to.
But you know, you always had the knack to get into complicated situations. And I will guess this time is no exception. No matter what it is you got yourself into this time, give it your all and your best. You never know, she might be the one. The special one all those heartbreaks will lead to.
And when that happens, I hope I get the chance to come back and meet her and then share amazing stories with her. If you really love her, go for it. I know nothing ever stopped you before, why would you stop now? Right?
If you know it's worth it, go for it. And I know once you get to it, you'll keep it forever if you could.
If she brings out the best in you, go for it. If she makes you smile and laugh all the time, go for it! If she turns you into a better person, I say go for it. But most especially, if you love her, go for it. That's what I would do.
