AS a woman that grew up in a lower middle class family I was given many opportunities to achieve greatness.
I am one who has not fully reach her full potential as of yet.
I excel at most things put before me.
I wasn't given the tools appropriate for my generation(Y) to deal with a teenage pregnancy at the age of 17.
Dropping out of high school even though I was an All-State Swimmer.
After 20 years I finally feel as if I just grew up.
I am working hard to achieve better.
My Country (USA) has always been there for me when I was in need of a loving gentle hand up.
I want to show you and the futures to come that I chose to stay in this race of creating a better tomorrow, even though I didn't have a proper manual for my life.
My country gave me a safe place to be molded, media was my parent. I used my special intelligence to question as to find the path meant for me to LIGHT up.
So as to start my new journey of many blessings of light I need to first express my gratitude towards YOU,
"The people of the United States Of America."
For I am one who has been able to live a life without the constant struggle of being in need of food and healthcare.
I have always viewed my receiving help from the government as a shameful thing. Because of the view of others.
Many see my generation as a lazy one. (the (Y) why generation)
Yet I believe us to be very powerful if we choose to actually put our random and natural abilities to good use.
Please know I am Forever Grateful!
I will not let you down.
I promise to be Hard Working in the passion I have for my Life.
I have raised my kids to be good citizens, to show kindness and serve with an open heart. To use their imaginations to solve problems as God intended always willing to lend a helping hand.
I will continue to reach for the American Dream
As well as prove to my Children that the American Dream is REAL.
