To the DNC:
I am angry. I am sad. I am scared.
I am angry because you have stolen this election. You chose my nominee with complete disregard to will of the American Democrats. I am angry because, in full knowledge and forethought, you willfully and actively sought to eliminate the political opponents to Hillary Clinton. While you couldn't prevent Republicans like Donald Trump from winning, you could prevent Democrats and Independents from doing so. So you did. You undermined the very principles of our democracy. You took away my voice and replaced it with that of Debbie Wasserman-Shultz and Donna Brazile. For the last 2 years, polling has shown that Hillary Clinton is a weak candidate. She struggled in every category: trustworthiness, honesty, ability to lead. This outcome should come as no surprise.
I am sad because, as I enter the workforce and the world, I will be fighting an uphill battle. The world will be against me. The rich will get richer, the poor poorer. Because of you, my generation will enter a workforce deprived of value. I am sad because 20 million Americans are about to lose their healthcare. I blame no one but the DNC. Donald Trump reached out to millions of Americans that have felt disenfranchised by you. You destroyed the vision of millions that rallied around Bernie Sanders because you so wanted power. Your lust for the power that Senator Sanders would take away from you drove you to destroy him. In your arrogance and stupidity, you tore down a man that cared for our country. You tore down a man that would take away your ability to do what you did during this election. You tore down a man and his supporters because you were afraid that he would expose you for what you truly are: corrupt.
Finally, I am scared. I am scared for the future of our nation. I am scared because you allowed the embodiment of modern hatred to become the most powerful person on Earth. You allowed a man that ran on a platform of bigotry and racism to win the presidency. Because of you, my Latino friends are afraid of what will happen to them. Because of you, millions of Muslims in this country fear persecution. Persecution, that if President-Elect Trump has any say in, will rival that of pre-Holocaust Germany. You have allowed the rise of a movement that will not end with President-Elect Trump. My generation, and my children's generation, will deal with the repercussions of this presidency. Three Supreme Court justices will be chosen by this man. The Republicans now have unilateral control of our government. All of the progress that President Obama has accomplished will be erased. And it's your fault.
Through your actions, you have alienated millions of Americans. You have torn away at the very foundation of our democracy. And you have stolen my future.
