I'm writing this letter to all the women of the world. This is for all the mothers, sisters, daughters and wives who manage to juggle all the responsibilities in their lives. It doesn't matter if you work outside of the home or not because all the work a woman does is of economic value. One thing we women don't do enough of is to take a little 'me' time; set aside time to relax and renew our energy. That old saying "A man may work from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done", is true. At times, there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done. Many women get so caught up in their roles of mother, sister, daughter and wife that they - as a person - fade into the background. Some women spend so much time nurturing everyone else and they forget to nurture themselves. A nurse once said to me, 'Before you can take care of others, you must first take care of yourself.' It is with that thought in mind that I encourage every woman to take some time to relax or do something that you used to enjoy, but you haven't done in awhile. It doesn't have to take a lot of time or money. If you like watching classic movies, listening to music, giving yourself a facial, drawing, photography, trying out a new recipe, do it; it doesn't matter. Relax and do something you love and watch how you feel energized. So take some time to stop and smell the roses.
