Dear Misguided Conservatives,
You've all got me baffled. I just can't figure out how any person claiming to be a conservative can find ANY reason to defend the last eight years of George W. Bush. Everything he's done has been the complete opposite of conservative, totally outside the core values of the Republican Party, and so destructive to our nation, I fear it's beyond repair.
Almost from day-one, Mr. Bush advocated blanket amnesty for illegal aliens, and created the “No Child Left Behind” debacle. Big government, liberal programs!! After 9-11, with the help of a panicked, mindless legislature, he went further and created HUGE GOVERNMENT and HUGE SPENDING with the Department of Homeland Security, and The Patriot Act. These under the guise of “protecting America.” Let me get this straight, Mr. Bush wanted to protect America by turning the power of the Federal Government against it's own people? Mr. Bush then went further with other things like FISA, and the signing of numerous Executive Orders with the sole aim of centralizing the Executive, and usurping the Constitution. That just seems more fascist or socialist than it does Republican.
Our country is a shambles after Mr. Bush's administration. With the help of Congress and the Senate, Bush and his fellow Pseudo-Con crooks have literally raped and pillaged the taxpayer, devalued the dollar, and bankrupted the treasury. The failure of government oversight, and the ensuing Taxpayer Bailout of banks is hands down the largest heist in the history of the world. All parties involved belong behind bars! The CEOs, the accountants, Barney Frank, and every other legislator who voted for the bailout, right on up the latter to the oval office – they all belong in prison! Interesting that Mr. Bush's Attorney General seems to be absent on this. Wouldn't one assume the Dept. of Justice might want to have a look at the dealings of these bankers and our legislators? Where's the FBI, or the SEC? Oh, yeah, Bernie Madoff already paid off the SEC, but what of the FBI? Are they on a union break?
How about Mr. Bush's baby? His illegal war in Iraq. Entered under false pretenses, and meant to never end, his war has killed over 4000 of our men and women and countless Iraqis. It's a disaster! It was a disaster from its very beginning. Worse, Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11, a fact proven by Bushs own administration! They ignored countries more likely to be involved with 9-11, like Saudi Arabia, yet for some reason, Iraq was made the center of Mr. Bush's “War on Terror.” This placed Afghanistan on the backburner and allowed the Taliban to regroup and resume operations – all while terrorists train and operate from inside Pakistan, a nation thats supposed to be our friend in this “global war against terrorism.”
Just so you know, terrorism is a tactic. Wars aren't fought against tactics, they're fought against enemies who happen to employ tactics, and in this case, the enemy is supposed to be Isamo-Fascist Muslims. So, can we be honest? Who is the war realy against?
Speaking of Islamo-Faschists, just in case you forgot, Osama bin Laden is still at large.
To be fair, Mr. Bush may have done some good things, but surely it was against his true nature, and completely inconsequential compared to the horrible damage his administration has done. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, where does Bush's road lead? He didn't seem to have ANY good intentions!!
It's because of pseudo-conservatives like George W. Bush and John McCain (the King of Pseudo-Conservatism) that the conservative movement and the GOP lay in shambles. The Republican Party leadership is filled with fakers and country club elites, sellouts, and liberals in disguise. They've sold their souls for political gain, for money, and for power. Having morphed into lizards, they are morally and politically bankrupt, and far out of touch with the base of the party. Thanks to them, the title Conservative Republican has become synonymous with Mr. Bush's last eight years of war, recession, corporate welfare, and oppressive government. The GOP is no longer seen as the party of freedom, limited government, or fiscal responsibility. Under Bush's brand of neo-conservatism, America as slipped out from under the Rule of Law, and under the Rule of Men. It's because of this that a man like Barack Obama, a Socialist/Marxist, was elected. George W. Bush left this nation weary, and downtrodden, ripe for the rise of a socialist state.
Some of you have claimed Mr. Bush's farewell address was historic. You may be right. It marks the death of America as a free republic, and ushers in a new Reich bent on socialism, subjugation, and despotism. Mr. Bush's legacy is sealed, and no revisionist story telling is going to change that fact. But, go on, keep towing the Pseudo-Con party line, and see how far it gets us in 2012. There are lessons to be learned, folks, and the sooner the Republican Party's course is changed, the sooner we can save our nation, and take back the government that belongs to us, We The People.
