Dear, Mr president(BAT),
It is from the sorrow of my heart that I’m writing you this letter. There are some things that I would like to discuss with you concerning the country because you may not see it all. Thus, things are extremely hard in the country, the economy lacks resurgence, the security system is not working. Absolutely, every sector in Nigeria is failing except the entertaining industry and that’s because the government has no control over it. The youths are dealing with depression every day and as a result of that, some find their ways into hard drugs because they feel that is the only way to lite their moods. Some go into sleeping with men to make money, some are into yahoo-yahoo, some are disguising as a local herbalist to dupe their fellow citizens. However, little did you know that “a country that fails to put the interest of her youths at heart would never have a better future”.
An average citizen can’t feed him or herself because they work like an elephant but eat like an ant. It is as a result of this that makes a thirty-five old man and woman remain unmarried. How could a man who can’t feed himself get married and have kids? That’s quite impossible and this has increased the percentage of baby mamas in the country. The ones that are lucky to get married would give it an ample time to have a child.
Meanwhile, you may be wondering why would they do all these things to survive and it’s because the employment rate is very low, yet they would have to survive in one way or the other. The past presidents have failed us, you’ve failed us more(still redeemable) but the next president might fail us even more if you don’t lay a good example. Mr president, you and your counterparts have turned most of us into a chronic sinners because we get to sin before we win. However, I’ll suggest that you create job opportunities with a handsome pay, so that the youths can be saved from a destructive future.
On the other side of the coin, the security sector of the country is dilapidated. There are so many cases of bombing, killing and so on but nothing has been done to address these. The policing units, the military sector are not working and that’s because their salaries are meagre. If you want to encourage them, give them a good pay and see how many youths that would join the military sector and policing units. Therefore, the security will increase massively in numbers and they would do their work with passion, knowing fully well that if they die in the process , their families would get to enjoy their luxuries.
