From all different angles, the videos show the same thing. An unarmed black man walks on a Tulsa, Oklahoma, road with his hands in the air. Police officers follow closely behind him as he approaches his vehicle. He stands beside the car, then falls to the ground, DEAD.
The officer's attorney says she was afraid Crutcher was reaching for a weapon when she opened fire.
Again.

He did NOT have weapon to reach for.
To be frank. I don't give a fuck if he said "I'm gonna blow up the White House and rape your children if you don't shot and kill me this very instant". There is absolutely no excuse for the police to shot anyone who is unarmed and/or not clearly putting someone else's life in immediate danger. The police are supposed to be there to PROTECT US, and make EVERYONE feel safe! Not to make people live in fear because the color of their skin!
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that all police officers are bad or that they are all racists. I believe that there are countless good police officers out there, I'm sure the good out number the bad a thousand times over. But one racist cop, is one too many! Which is exactly why more police officers need to stand up and speak out against this kind of police brutality and abuse of power.
These tragedies are no longer just fluke "incidents". They are becoming so common that celebrity divorces dominate the front page news over them.
Take a moment to think about that.

& THEN PROCEEDED TO FIRED A LETHAL WEAPON,
KILLING HIM.
You can argue logistics all day and night. Even the "best" argument in the officers favor is nonsensical.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
WE THE PUBLIC NEED TO UNITE AS ONE VOICE
Not pleading, but DEMANDING that our elected officials to stop hiding behind the curtains of the current election and actually step out onto the stage to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE!!!!!

This isn't an issue that should be debated between party candidates to win voters.
This is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately amongst our current government!
President Obama only has a few months left in office, why not force him to make this issue is LAST STAND?!?
IT NEEDS TO BE DELT WITH NOW!
The federal government needs to step in and mandate that all states restructure their police forces. Starting with the process in which they vet and train new recruits, to reevaluating and retraining their existing police officers, weeding out and retiring the 'bad eggs' and retraining the majority of good police officers.
If the sight of a black man or an uncomfortable situation frightens you to the level of taking lethal action... Guess what? You're not meant to be a cop! Seems to me the force is now filling up with people who can't assess a situation properly and respond accordingly.
Get rid of all of those individuals. They don't deserve to wear a badge. Do thorough psych evaluations . Many private corporations and almost all publicly traded companies perform psych evaluations on all potential/existing employees in high ranking positions. Don't you think that a police officer who is authorized to use deadly force should be held to the same if not higher standard?
Sure, some sociopaths or what have you, may make it through, but it can't be worse than what the current system is allowing now.
An equally important issue is the militarization of the police force that became obvious during the Reagan era and his "war on drugs". Federal and State government alike need to not only acknowledge, but make serious, legal, and legislative measures to reverse this blatant militarization of the police force.
A clear example being the city of Ferguson Missouri,with a population just barley over 21,000. Who's police department responded to a public protest with their officers not only wearing military caliber kevlar vests, helmets, and camouflage, armed with pistols, shotguns, automatic rifles, and tear gas, but also accompanied by officers driving up in military grade mine resistant vehicles (Humvee's) which were provided by the Pentagon.
The Pentagon later removed those vehicles from the city of Ferguson by order of President Obama, but what about all of the other military grade equipment intended for soldiers, in war zones that has now been placed in the hands of police,in cities???
Take a second to yourself.
& Really think about that. Think about all the affects those kind of weapons could have on a densely populated city. Then think why the hell we allow our government to place weapons designed for war zones amongst our civilian population at all?
How many innocent Americans have to lose their lives at the hands of our own police force before enough people give a shit enough, to speak up?
And how many of us have to speak up before those whom we've elected to speak for us, listen?
Then, how many ears listening does it take to move the hand that holds the pen, to start writing the change?
Please don't be that person standing on the shore watching as the ship slowly engulfs into flames and sinks.
Grab a damn hose!
Bring a bucket of water!
DO SOMETHING!
Anything!
Everything!
Speak up! Speak out! Ask questions! Demand answers!Get involved! Give a shit!
