Dear Vice President Biden,
I hope and pray this letter finds you in good health and strength. I write this letter with great sincerity in asking for your help. Last year you came to The University of Pennsylvania Hospital located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania where I currently work and told us that A Cure for cancer is needed. You told us the importance of the fight and most of all you insured us that enough lives have been claimed to this horrific disease.
I believe that a cure is evident. I have worked in the Cancer filed for approximately 10 years. Many can’t understand why my passion is so great towards fighting this disease, but this simply something I cannot turn off. For 10 years I have watched my patients bravely fight for their lives and most of all look to an end of this illness.
One of my ways of expressing myself is through art and writing. After a patient confining in me, she pulled up her shirtsleeve and showed me a fourth bracelet on her arm and stated another color. Another color representing where my cancer is. We embraced and I told her “her voice will be heard and her fight will never be forgotten”. That night I couldn’t sleep. My mind was unsettled. I was anxious and overwhelmed by her words; they continuously played in my head. I grabbed an old filling folder, magazines, scissors and glue and began to express myself the best way I knew how; through art. Each shape cut, each piece of paper placed, it began to soothe the ache I felt that seemed so deep and unreachable. My mind began to have a clear understanding of what needed to take place. Each color laid symbolized Cancer having no power and magnifying the beauty of people. Magnifying HOPE, AWARENESS and most of all Cancer Having an END. Through this Cancer Being Defeated was created.
Cancer Being Defeated is a logo inspiring to become a brand symbolizing the fight of all Cancers equally; while giving the power and beauty back to the people. Showing them a symbol of HOPE & LIFE, insuring them that we are fighting for them and every life that has been claimed will never be lost in-vain. Cancer Being Defeated will inspire and will signify that Cancer must End and will End.
Vice President Biden I ask you to help me bring Cancer Being Defeated into fruition. Through Cancer Being Defeated will be able to help finance research for all Cancers. Will be able to properly create revenue to help researchers and health professional’s finance their research. We will also be able to help those that are currently going through this fight by providing them with more support physically, financially, and emotionally. We will be able to give the people a fighting foundation that was built off Hope and A Chance.
At this time, I ask to arrange a meeting if possible with anyone you would suggest to help me bring this to life. Any help is greatly appreciated and most of all needed. I look forward to your response.
