Dear rich and poor,
I was given an assignment to read a book and relate it in some way. I chose to the read “The Great expectations” which is about an orphan Pip discovers through lawyer Mr. Jagger’s that a mysterious benefactor wishes to ensure that he becomes a gentleman. Reunited with his childhood patron, and his first love, the beautiful but emotionally cold Estella (Valerie Hobson), he discovers that the elderly spinster has gone mad from having been left at the altar as a young woman, and has made her charge into a warped, unfeeling heartbreaker. He was poor and didn’t have no money during his lifetime. People throughout the book judge him for that and his attitude.
I can relate because throughout my life I have been judged because I am not rich or because I don’t have money to go to this place. I use to cry at night because of people talking about me and I was sad because I couldn’t go do the things my friends went to do because I was not poor but wasn’t rich either. I feel like the world is so backwards because we care about what we have on and what we can do but the thing I don’t think people think about is that we are all the same. People don’t think about that we are all the same we all have the same feeling and we all fall in love with someone.
Nationwide, 3.1% of income earned annually goes to the poorest 20% of people, while 51.4% is earned by the richest 20%. It really makes me mad because people who are rich really thinks they are better than the poor with is reality we are all the same
