Dear Members of the Board,
It is with great concern and disappointment that we address this letter to you. Since Arowana Impact Capital (AIC) assumed management of Green Antz Builders Inc. in January 2024, numerous employees have been deprived of their rightful salaries and mandatory benefits. This failure has forced many of your valued staff, particularly those earning minimum wage, to resign due to financial distress.
For nearly nine months now, unresolved issues regarding unpaid salaries and benefits have been escalated to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), resulting in legal cases filed against the company. Despite this, Green Antz has consistently ignored these grievances, further marginalizing the employees who helped build and sustain your operations.
Adding to this disheartening scenario is the apparent shift in Green Antz's commitment to sustainability. By channeling collected plastic waste into incineration as fuel for cement factories, you have strayed from your proclaimed dedication to the circular economy model. This action undermines the very principles Green Antz was once known for and risks turning sustainability into mere greenwashing.
In light of these issues, we call upon all Green Antz partners, clients, and stakeholders to take a stand for justice:
1. Cease partnerships and projects with Green Antz.
2.Withdraw support until the rightful dues of employees are paid in full.
3. Hold Green Antz accountable for violating labor rights and betraying their environmental promises.
This is not just a labor issue—it is a matter of integrity. Green Antz must take immediate action to address its obligations to its employees and return to the values it once upheld. Ignoring these concerns erodes trust and tarnishes the credibility of all associated with your organization.
We believe that collective action can bring about the justice your employees deserve. Let us show solidarity with the workers whose livelihoods have been unjustly jeopardized and push for a future where promises are upheld, and sustainability is practiced, not just marketed.
