Dear participants of the Eric Sheppard Challenge,

This is America, land of the free, home of the brave… not to mention, the greatest country in the world. We are born into a free country, we are allowed to have our own opinions and views, and we are given the right to stand up for what we believe in.

I have seen your “Eric Sheppard Challange videos,” and it absolutely disgusts me that you believe it is okay to stomp on the American flag, that same flag that gives you the very right to do that without being punished. It is your American right to be upset and not agree with how the Eric Sheppard case is being handled, but isn’t there a better way to go about this?

If America is so terrible maybe North Korea or Cuba could be a better option for you? There, the government controls and highly regulates all news media outlets and the Internet. Never in a million years would speaking out be acceptable, let alone covered in media.

Currently around the world, innocent people are being beheaded and burned alive for their personal beliefs.

Also have you taken into account that over 1.3 million brave men and women have died defending the freedom for you to stomp on the American flag? I think if you are so unhappy with America, maybe you should go fight for our country and bring the change you would like to see in America since it is such a terrible place live. How do you think the families of the soldiers who never came home feel when they see these videos?

All in all, I am not asking you to change your opinions, actually I’m encouraging you to stand up for what you believe in, but can’t you go about it in a respectful way? Stomping on the American flag certainly is not.

Sincerely,

An proud American
