Dear Dr. Laura:
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law.
I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that
knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to
defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them
that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination … End
of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other
elements of God’s Laws and how to follow them.
1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male
and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring
nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans,
but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in
Exodus...

Greetings,
I have been looking for some time for those who genuinely believe in god and the holy word as laid down by him. You have made your point brilliantly and perfectly:
"Confessing the Bible to be the authoritative word of God (Isaiah 40:8; Luke 4:31-32; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21), we believe that God has spoken clearly and sufficiently to the issue of human sexuality. In accordance with this belief, we must state that homosexuality in its varied forms, whether gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered, is out of accord with God's design for human sexuality and is sinful, therefore, in the eyes of God (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:18-25; 19:1-28; Exodus 20:14; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:8-10; 2 Peter 2:6-8...

Dear Mr. Morgan:
I believe you have been promoting bigotry and helping to perpetrate a fraud.
Is Homosexuality a Sin?During both of your interviews with Pastor Joel Osteen on your CNN broadcast, you let the religious leader tell your audience that Scripture calls homosexuality a sin. But you didn’t ask him where the Bible says that.
It’s both an important point and an easy one to settle. You could have asked Pastor Osteen for the chapter and verse that he thinks calls homosexuality a sin. What you would have found is that he couldn’t provide it, because Pastor Osteen was expressing his personal opinion, not quoting the Bible. The Bible doesn’t say that homosexuality is a sin.
It seems to me that Pastor Osteen, as a religious leader, has a right to believe what he wants and to...

Dear Backwards, Homophobic Church People Who Continue to Twist Scripture:
Yes, I know you have a biblical objection to homosexuality. I have no investment or interest in trying to change your views on the issue (it's sort of like a Republican trying to convince a Democrat that his party is the "best," or vice versa -- it's a fruitless task) but in the spirit of Christian brotherhood, I offer you the following:
If your objection to homosexuality is based solely on scripture, I'm just wondering if you also have an objection to: Slaves who try to free themselves or speak out against their masters (Colossians 3:22, Ephesians 6:5); women who are preachers or speak in church (Corinthians 14:34); men who eat lobster or seafood (Leviticus 11:10; Leviticus 11:7); people who wear cotton and/...

Dear Best Friend,
I am writing this letter to you to let you know how much i love and care about you. You know everything about me and still choose to be my friend anyways. I know I'm not good at showing my feelings so believe me when I tell you I love you. You know me better than anyone else I know.
I know I am crazy, aggravating, childish (at times), and not the best at being nice or giving advice. I just wanted to say thank you so much for always having my back and never leaving my side. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on when I lost Papa. Thank you for answering my phone calls and not judging me when i tell you the stupid things I've done. Thank you for giving me advice, even though I am too stubborn to listen. Thank you for being the one person in my life I know I can...

Dear Bradlee,
I heard about the whole Rachel Maddow thing. Bummer. Here’s the deal: the context, the specific wordings, the supposed omissions — they don’t matter. You think homosexuality is a sin, and whether or not you want gay people dead (you do), you’re already mislead. Allow me to set you straight.
From the one picture I’ve seen of you, I can tell you have some pretty impressive sideburns and at least a couple half-sleeve tattoos. Now, I think we would both agree it would be silly to call for your execution because you trim your hair (Leviticus 19:27) or put tattoo marks on yourself (Leviticus 19:28). So why would you worry about Leviticus 18:22 or 20:13 (do not lie with another man)?
We all know Leviticus gets a bit intense. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want...

Dear Mr. Schultz,
This letter should be sung to the tune of Billy Joel's, "Just The Way You Are." I know we've never met and the closest I've ever been to a barista was the time I bought a Krups cappucino maker that was so hard to clean, I quickly realized that having someone make a personalized drink for you was worth every penny. However, for some reason, I feel uniquely qualified to tell you (just as Billy Joel would), "Don't go changing."
From one eternal optimist to another, I'd like to thank you for your dedication to changing the world, one barista at a time. I wish more Fortune 500 corporate leaders would follow your lead! Investing in people is a win/win strategy and you will have lifetime devotees whether they're Starbucks employees or not. The kinds of things you do...

That time of year is coming up in the USA; holiday season yes, but also, the season of ideals and commerce, of lamentations that consumerism is now the opium of the masses with commercialization at its helm.
People will strike their boycotts on Black Friday and reprise their Christmases of yester year where the gathering around the tree came second to church gatherings. There’s a growing number of Americans who are taking back their holidays and unfurling them from the sale culture hysteria that continues to permeate both secular and religious holidays.
Festivus for the rest of us? OK, that provides some gateway into the consumer resistance, sure, but for a lot of brown people, we can’t take back something because, well, no one really tried to take it away to begin with!
Today is...
