To My Long Distance Best Friend:
Today is just one of those days where I miss you more than usual. Living 615 miles apart from you isn't easy, to say the least. There are days when I want to just call you up and say, "Hey, meet me at Starbucks in ten, okay?", but I can't, unless I get in my car and drive for nine straight hours. Today I realized that I never really get the chance to tell you how much you mean to me. So how about I do that today, okay?
Some people say long distance friendships are hard... and maybe they're right. But here we are, three years after you moved away, and we're still the best friends that can talk for hours on end without running out of things to say.The truth is- being apart from you sucks. It breaks my heart when I can't be there to give you a hug when...

My baby,
I miss you as always. We reunite for Thanksgiving in 19 days and I am counting down the minutes until I can hold you in my arms again (there are 27, 360 give or take with traffic on I-81). I know it’s your favorite holiday because of the turkey legs, but it’s my favorite because I get to see you.
I can’t stop thinking about your big brown eyes, your sandy yellow hair, and your goofy smile (even though your breath stanks). I dream about long walks by the lake with you by my side. I even miss those sleepless nights when you hog the entire bed and growl in your sleep. People tell me I’m too obsessed, but they just don’t understand.
I know, I know—college is a time to explore life and meet new people, blah blah blah. But it’s just impossible to forget you. Ten years later...

How can you say that all lives matter is racist?Every life brought into this world is precious. It isn't the race that we are born that defines us. It is what we chose to do with our life that does. What makes one life more important than another. Not by the color of your skin. But by the love, integrity, hope that one person has. By what they choose to do to leave an imprint on this world. If you saw my 8 year old son hit by a car? Would you walk past him because he isn't black? Or would you have human compassion and sit by his side and hold his hand? Would you pray for him? Be there for him when he is in so much pain and scared? What will happen to you if you were to be in a car accident? What if it was a white police officer to be the first one on the scene? What if your car was on...

Have you ever wondered what it's like to delve into your brain and access parts never before used. Self discovery is the reason of life, spiritual growth isn't a religious ideology guided by a priest who literally has no meaningful life experience. Why would you take guidance from someone who is not experienced the bliss of making love, someone is ignorant to the real trials and tribulations of what it means to be in a committed relationship with someone.
LSD is the pathway to discovery, experiencing knew perspectives that you never knew existed. Their is no debate about its power to free the mind

Most people are boring, they have nothing interesting to say. They talk about the same things day in and day, using the same words to explain things, following the same train of thought, thoughts walking in circles.
When I talk to them they think I'm random, unable to follow a thought to something they consider abstract.
If we are talking around the bbq about colours to paint the house, when i suggest using the used charchole confusion hits their face, They think I said something stupid like paint the house with the charcole when really their brain should stop and think what I might mean.

Dear Santa,
I have never asked anything from you. Well, I don't believe you exist. I whistled at the proof that Santa doesn't exist. Besides you'd never fit in a chimney.
But desperate times need desperate measures. I am as desperate as a pig being taken to a pork factory, I swear. I need you to exist, physics be damned. [1]
Ok, so here's the thing: I need a girlfriend. I dunno how to say this in Icelandic (I could use freetranslation.com, aber Es saugt[2]), but I assume you speak English (and read it). Otherwise just post this in some free translation thingy on the net. And if you're free, image search "Queen Elizabeth"... wowie!... (See? I'm so desperate...). Maybe I should also write an email to you Santa
Here it's again: I need a girlfriend. A girl who's my friend and who'd like...

Your Excellency,
I write to you regarding an issue of great urgency and concern to myself and the millions of other British Columbians for whom I speak.
The issue is with respect to the British Columbia Government’s plan to accede its exclusive legal authority regarding direct taxation within the Province of British Columbia to the raising of revenue for provincial purposes, to the Federal Government.
Specifically, I refer to their plan to combine the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) with the federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) to create a “harmonized sales tax” (HST) to be levied, set and collected by the Federal Government on behalf of British Columbia.
Section 91 and 92 of The Constitution Act of 1867 clearly enumerates the powers of both the federal and the provincial...

Dear Mike,
Like you I am a Jew, a screenwriter and a playwright. Unlike you, the first time I was shot at, I was 16. I mention this because in your letter to my friend Renen Schorr of the Sam Spiegel Film School, reneging on your agreement to appear there, you cite as one of the reasons for the moral outrage you feel, “the endless shooting of innocent people there [Gaza], including juveniles.”
This is part of a litany of complaints against the Jewish State of Israel which includes the “atrocity” of the “Israeli attack on the flotilla ... the resumption of illegal building on the West Bank ... the ongoing criminal blockade of Gaza” and finally, what you refer to as “the last straw ... the Loyalty Oath.” I would like to address each of these, but because you are rightfully concerned with...

Mike,
I’ve just read your letter of July 7 to the Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption.
Congratulations on your strong determination to stand up to attempts by the construction union, the CFMEU, to put Boral out of business. As you state, you are being targeted by the CFMEU because you continue to supply concrete to the CFMEU’s hated construction firm, Grocon.
Congratulations also to your staff, management team, subcontractors and owner-drivers, whom you describe as all being under extreme pressure from intimidation by the CFMEU and loss of income caused by the union’s actions.
At least in this instance you are not on your own. You are standing with Grocon. Inevitably more firms and suppliers must also be required to support law and order in our...

Dear Rebecca Eaton, Executive Producer of Masterpiece:
Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are the editorial staff at Bas Bleu—bookseller-by-post, the friendly neighborhood bookstore in your mailbox—who’ve made books our business for more than twenty years. We’re lucky enough to read for a living and to have the chance to share some of our favorite stories with our fellow readers. But if there’s one thing we bluestockings have in common besides our love of a good book, it’s our deep affection for Masterpiece.
We recently read your memoir Making Masterpiece, about your career at the helm of that particularly wonderful entertainment phenomenon. We never miss an episode of Downton Abbey or Sherlock, we’ve spent the summer live-tweeting Poldark, and we’ve carried a torch for Damian...
