Dear Fabian,
We have deliberately taken our time before writing you this letter because we are loathe to make any rash statements that we may later regret, even once, let alone twice.
It's more than 24 hours now since you completed your messy, faith-destroying move to Manchester City and ensured your new status as Villa Park's public enemy No.1.
But those "Delph You Snake!" banners, those Facebook clips of fans burning replica shirts bearing your name, those mocking memes on social media all could have been avoided if only you had not laid it on so thick.
If only you had not tried to trumpet yourself as the second coming of commitment, if only you had not awarded yourself the loyal seal of approval.
You could have gone to Manchester City with your reputation intact had you...

Mr. Sankey
Hi! My name is Jerry Hinnen. I'm a college football writer with CBSSports.com, and I'm writing to congratulate you on your first official day as SEC commissioner. So ... congratulations! I'm sure you'll do a great job!
Of course, Greg – can I call you Greg? Great! – the honest truth is that after Mike Slive's tenure, I wonder if you even have to do a great job. As everyone's said, Greg, filling the shoes of arguably the most influential man in college athletics won't be easy. But with expansion completed, new TV contracts signed, the SEC Network launched and thriving, a seven-year run of BCS championships cementing the league's status as the highest-profile conference in college athletics' highest-profile sport, the hard work seems done. You don't have to fill Mr. Slive'...

My dear readers,
I write this letter with a heavy and sad heart, but it is not my style to just disappear without letting you know the reason behind my sudden silence.
For some reasons I decided that I need to take a break from writing for this fandom.
I don't know how long this break will be, whether I will need only two or three weeks or a few months, but I lost my passion and my joy writing my stories in this fandom because of the lack of positive feedback I have gotten for my latest stories and some harsh words thrown at me, especially for my Master/boy-series, because some people obviously consider writing and reading about this way of life as something one has to be ashamed of and to be enjoyable only in furtive silence.
All of us writing in this fandom do it not for...

Dear Small Sided Football Parent, Coach, Manager and Supporter
Over the past month, a number of incidents have been brought to my attention where unfortunately junior referees have been verbally abused by Coaches, Managers, or Parents.
In some cases, this has left the referee in tears with some of them stating that they do not want to referee again.
This behaviour will NOT and should NOT be tolerated.
We do not expect perfection from our kids as they play the game. Air swings, fluffed shots and a failure to comply with instructions are commonplace. As parents and coaches this is frustrating to watch but we understand that these are kids learning to play the game and that they will make mistakes along the way.
There is NOTHING different when it comes to our junior referees....

Dear Emilee Danielson:
You have made a small splash in the social media world with your opinion on Caitlyn Jenner. Your post on the issue popped up on my Facebook news feed, and I felt the need to introduce myself.
Hi! My name is Kristen Peterson, and 12 years ago at the age of 16 I was diagnosed with a birth defect called Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome (quite a mouthful, I know, we call it 'MRKH').
I am a biological female, 46xx chromosomes, but born completely missing a uterus, cervix, and both fallopian tubes. I was also born with a severely shortened vaginal canal, making sex impossible without some form of treatment (I chose surgery).
As you can imagine, it was quite a shock to me at such a young age. You see, without a uterus I did not receive my 'golden ticket...

Dear Fellow Americans,
Few topics in America generate a more polarized and emotional debate than guns. In recent months, Starbucks stores and our partners (employees) who work in our stores have been thrust unwillingly into the middle of this debate. That’s why I am writing today with a respectful request that customers no longer bring firearms into our stores or outdoor seating areas.
From the beginning, our vision at Starbucks has been to create a “third place” between home and work where people can come together to enjoy the peace and pleasure of coffee and community. Our values have always centered on building community rather than dividing people, and our stores exist to give every customer a safe and comfortable respite from the concerns of daily life.
We appreciate that...

Dear Michael Clarke,
When the Australian team was going through a rebuilding process in the late 80s, it was since then I became its follower. Allan Border didn’t have the champions like his contemporary best teams during that time, but still, he made his men play like genuine match-winners. Allan Border and Bob Simpson built a strong foundation which proved beneficial for the next generation of captains like Mark Taylor, Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting. Border and Simpson rekindled the lost Australian culture during that transition period of the 80s which had a long lasting impression among the next generation of players.
I have been privileged to witness the rise of Australian cricket at its helm and the Australian cricket culture has always been one of my favorite subjects. Myself...

Dear Bikram Yoga,
For years I have written you off. As a power yoga teacher I have put you on the receiving end of lame jokes where I basically say that I have no interest in being “the best at yoga”. I have assumed that some of you are trying to “win yoga” (because of the competitions) and have used it to justify allowing my own asana practice to become lazy.
I’ve quietly and “not-so-quietly” mused that there are others who are competitive about their yoga but not me. Insert halo here.
For about a month I have been practicing Bikram yoga. Let me be upfront. It’s not the only style I’ve practiced. I do not make it everyday (yet). I still wince at the tiny amount of clothing that I am wearing to class. I loathe looking at myself in the mirror while we practice. When the teacher says “...

Dear Jhumpa,
I heard about your gig as the keynote speaker at the national conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs down in D.C. next month and I wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much I miss the way you used to write, and why it matters to a young writer like me.
When I first came across The Interpreter of Maladies in 2004, I fell in love with it immediately. I'd never read a collection of short stories in which maach bhaja—fish fry—and failed marriages shared billing as major plot points. And when I moved to Gowanus three years ago, I thought it was felicitous to live so near you—it'd been unintentional. You lived in one of the posh brownstones in Park Slope proper, I think. That's a 15-minute hike from my delightful shit-hole above the Mexican...
