Color guard, the art of dancing, acting and tossing things in the air, all while striving for perfection. I am excited that I have the opportunity to be your instructor. On our journey, you will learn a lot about dance and basic techniques of Color Guard. Along with that, I will provide show choreography and teach you to perform. Along with that, there are several things I will strive to provide for each member. They are as followed.
1) when the world shuns you, I will provide you a world to escape to. At times, this world will not understand why you are who you are. I promise that Color Guard will be your safe haven, your home away from home, the place where you are accepted. I found sanctity in my guard family, so I will provide one for you when you need support. Guard is one big family, one you can turn to when you are excluded from the world.
2) I will help you grow in this extraordinary sport as a performer and as a human being. I will push you to your limits, teach you to do incredible things that you never thought you could do. Will it be hard? Yes. But it will be worth it in the end. During this journey, I will give skills to survive the world, along with help you develop into fine young gentlemen and ladies.
3) When you don't believe in yourself, I will believe in you. There will be times that you will want to give up--whether it be guard, school work or any other responsibilities. I will not allow you, I will encourage you to fight through all of it--because I will ALWAYS believe in you.
Finally, 4) I will learn from you as you learn from me. We will grow as human beings through your time in my guard, together
