I am writing this letter to one beautiful and amazing person in my life. To the one who never fails to make me smile. And even though we quarrel sometimes and have those little fights, we can never stay upset with one another. Because we're just that good.
I want to take this opportunity to say how amazing you are. Smart, pretty, faithful, loving. You're not perfect, but you manage to look perfect to others, to me. They always tease how small you are, but whenever I see that, all I can think of is that your head will be close to my heart when I hug you. I wish I could. Just hold you in my arms and hug you. Take all that stress away. Take all those tears away. And take away all the pain you're still feeling up to this very day.
You don't deserve to be hurt. You always tell me how people leave you. How people don't wait for you. And because of that, how scared you are to start again. To fall in love again. To trust and give it your all. I know how that feels. I've felt it so many times. So whenever you tell me all of that, I know how painful it is. To try loving and falling in love, but somehow not feeling at ease. You feel something wrong. It's not the way it's supposed to be.
But you have someone. That someone is trying to make you feel happy and loved. But somehow, something is wrong and you can't point it out. I can't point it out either. But I'm sure there's an explanation. There's a reason why. But at the end of the day, I say you're meant to be with that someone. But what do I know? God sets us up with the people we're meant to be with, not the people we choose to be with.
I just want you to know that there's always that 'other' someone. That someone who is more than willing to give it his all. He's planned it all out. He observes. He tries to learn and discover what ticks you off, what makes you sad, what makes you laugh, what makes you happy, contented, in love. Because he wants to take all the pain away and give you a fresh start in love that you're supposed to have. Could it be him? Do you feel at ease with someone like him?
He's standing beside you, ready to hold your hand. Ready to give you his tightest hug. Ready to comfort you at your lowest, and support or cheer for you at your highest. He'll pray beside you, eat with you, look silly with you, take long walks with you. He's your best friend. The one who's supporting you with that person you love. Even though he wants it so much as well.
He stands by, looking on. Because he knows, that person is the one you love and the one who makes you happy.
He'll cry both tears of sadness and joy when he'll see the both of you together. But he'll always see your smile in the end. Which is more than enough to make him smile, even just a bit.
To my dearest, you deserve to be in love. Take down those chains that bind you to your fear and let go. Fly, soar, and look and pray for that person you will take the most amazing journey with.
You deserve to be loved. You deserve to be happy.
And when you need to take a step back and rest, that 'other' someone will be there for you. I will be there for you. I always will.
