Slavery was wrong. Racism was wrong. I'll give y'all that. I hate that my ancestors owned slaves, but what can I do about it? The Civil War was NOT all about slavery. Neither is the Confederate Battle Flag.
- It is not a national flag, it was a flag carried by ground troops, many of whom had nothing to do with the institution of slavery.
- It simply represents thousands of Southern men who died defending their right to self-government.
- It represents
- history,
- heritage,
- liberty,
- democracy,
- self-government.
- All we want is a symbol to call our own and represent the unique culture and heritage of our home.
We are open to suggestions for a new flag to represent the South! Please do not hate us because of what our ancestors did. Stop oppressing the South. Stop descriminating against the South.
Heritage not hate!
God save the South!
The South will rise again!
Thank you and God bless you!
