True courage is not falling into the trap of pushing hate onto other people, even if you don't agree with their life choices. Growing up as Christians, we have been told our entire lives that we are to treat our neighbor how we would like to be treated and to leave the judgment up to God. No one thinks Caitlyn is courageous because she's becoming a woman. She is courageous because in doing so and becoming who she really is, she is setting herself up for an insurmountable amount of hate and unacceptance that is going to be driven her way.

The Christian faith has instilled in us from day one to show fairness, equality and love to all other living beings, yet the people I see sharing your photo are the people I know to have a strong faith. The saddest part is that it is this kind of hate and hypocrisy that has pushed many young members, myself included, away from an establishment that instills a very strong moral compass into the hearts of many people.

If you truly want to end Caitlyn being called courageous, then you need to stop feeding into the one thing that is making her so. Caitlyn expressing herself knowing full well that people will not show her the compassion she deserves, the compassion and love that every living being deserves, is the definition of brave.

As you stated, we are brave in our raw, authentic selves. You do Caitlyn.
