Dear Ex-Best Friend,
We were friends for three years and those three years were filled with lots of laughs, sleepovers and boy drama. We were together every day and if we weren't we were texting.
But in sophomore year something changed during the summer you started dating that Italian guy you liked who went to our school the year before but had recently moved back to Italy. You spent all your time texting and FaceTimeing him and you never had time for me. When you guys broke up you rushed to find another guy to like and you became obsessed with my Chemistry teacher. You were taking honors Chemistry now but you knew him from when you took regular Chemistry in the beginning of the year. You guys would always "hang out" in his classroom until like 7:30 (our school ended at 3:30) even if you had no homework to do , and when I was practically failing Chemistry and needed to go for extra help you would yell at me for invading on your time with him. After that we kinda drifted apart, you chose talking to guys over our friendship
So I'm sorry. I'm sorry that i didn't listen to everyone who told me this friendship was toxic in the past. I'm sorry I wasn't a good enough friend for you, and I'm sorry I was doing so bad in chemistry that I had to "invade" on your relationship.
Sincerely,
Your Ex-Bestie
