Dear Hearing Healthcare Professional,

In keeping with our commitment of being transparent with the hearing community, I would like to comment on recent activities within our marketplace. Many of you have undoubtedly received a number of emails and social media posts with respect to Unity Hearing Care. Most recently this group added a copy of Phonak's price list for the VA and Government Services contract. First I would like to say that Phonak is extremely proud of the products and service we provide to the VA and the veterans who have served our country. The VA has been a strong supporter of the Phonak brand for many years and we thank the clinicians within the VA for making Phonak the preferred supplier amongst VA clinicians. I believe it is important to point out that this is a government program and the hearing aids are provided by the VA at no cost to our veterans. Additionally, the VA does not accept marketing funds such as coop, or practice development, nor do they allow for meals and entertainment. As such, all manufacturers that supply the current VA contract are able to do so at a price that allows the government to provide this high level of service to our veterans in need of hearing healthcare. Lastly, the pricing for the VA contract is a matter of public record and one can find this not only for Phonak and GN Resound as highlighted on Unity Hearing Care’s website, but also for Bernafon, Oticon, Siemens, Sonic, Starkey, and Unitron. I am sure that every one of these suppliers is proud of the support that they provide our veterans through their pricing and service.

Next, to the person or persons who are in a leadership position at Unity Hearing Care. I would welcome the opportunity to sit down face to face with you and discuss the pricing, service options and volume commitment with you based upon your group’s needs. At Phonak we have always been willing to work with both individual practices and groups to help build their respective businesses based upon their individual strategic plans. My number at Phonak is 630-821-5027 and I would welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss your group’s needs. I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.

Sincerely,
Jeff Newnham
