To People With Conflict
In my Honors Composition and Literature class I had to read a book and then write this letter about it. The book I read was Henry V by Shakespeare and it was not a fun book to read because it was very complex and hard to comprehend. The book was mainly about King Henry wanting to take over France because he wanted more land and King Charles of France wasn’t having it. This book was about war and conflict mainly and King Henry wanting to be greedy and take someone else’s land.
In Act 2 there are 3 traitors that try and kill King Henry before he leaves port. King Henry was considering having mercy on them but one if the men wanted them to be put to death by hanging. In Act 3 King Henry and his troops go to Hartfleur and wreak havoc on them but they didn’t want to let them in so king Henry states “if you don’t open up the gates then we are going to break in kill the men and children, and rape your women”. In Act 4 they get ready to go to battle and King Henry wants to give them a speech but before that he prays to god. He tells the soldiers that anyone that wants to leave and not fight can go home but if they want to stay they will feel pride in what they did.
What I have chosen for my personal connection Is conflict because I have it and so does everybody else and it happens a lot in this dumb boring book. In the book king henry ruler of England is in conflict with king Charles of France. King henry thinks that he can have some of France so he tries to get it. This is similar to me because I have a lot of conflict for example, my dad and I. We don’t have the best relationship like most father and sons but it’s not as bad as some. We fight and have conflict just about every day but at the end of the day he is still my dad.
Did you know that there have been already 41 world conflicts in 2017 not including all the riots that have been going on and protests? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Conflicts_in_2017) That is outrageous because the number should be way lower because everyone should just get along in my opinion. For example, the feud that has been going on for years between North Korea and South Korea. Both countries are vastly different and their leaders had different ideas and beliefs so that ended up splitting up the country. I think that both leaders should get together and have a sit down on what they both want and believe in and should bring the 2 countries back together into one so that families can reunite and be able to move within the country to go wherever. http://koreanamericanstory.org/we-are-one/?gclid=CNeZmL-potICFdgPgQodwZQF8w

I am writing this letter to people that experience conflict in the everyday life and that conflict sets you back. I would like people to get more involve within knowing what about the 2 countries and why they separated, because we need to get the 2 countries back together and make everyone happy again.
This book was about king henry wanting to take over France and what came with that is him wanting to rape 3 girls in France. The leaders in each country face conflict everyday because of the decision they have mad in the past. Like king henry had to do the same with conflict. This conflict with North and South Korea are very relatable with the book because of the conflict.
I chose this conflict because the leaders of each country must be ballsy to split up the country into 2. I connect with this because they have a lot of conflict everyday just like me. I want to write to the people in north and south Korea so that they know that someone else is thinking of their problem and not just them. Because if the USA split up I think that other countries would have to get involved in order for us to get back together. The purpose of this letter is to get everyone more involved or as many people possible to help solve this very complex problem. I know that if it was us that split up I would be devastated because I have family all over the country. I did not like this book at all because of the difficulty of it and how complex it was to read.
