Dear Boss:

Being your website for the past five years has been a great experience. I’ve had thousands of visitors, processed hundreds of contact forms and have helped inform potential and existing customers about our products and services.

When I was created, my design was fantastic and my Flash intro was second to none. My content told our company’s great story and showcased our fantastic products. However, it’s time for me to go to the next level.

While looking around at other websites, it’s obvious that I don’t look as cool as I used to. I’m sure you’ve seen our competitor’s sites. They look awesome, refreshed, modern and dynamic and to be quite honest, I don’t.

Our company is amazing and I should reflect that, too. And it’s not just about creating a new Flash video for our intro or adding some muzak. I want to look cool, offer great information and generate some leads for the sales team. We do some great work and I want to show it off better than the other guys.

In the last few years, no one can find me. We need to improve our SEO. A blog will do wonders, but only with the right content. Our content is static and outdated, but with some consistency and keyword rich, quality content I’ll be easier to find and can help generate some more leads.

And speaking of generating leads, that’s what I want to do. I want to be number one on your sales team. I want to have some social media links along with an industry blog to help ramp up our sales. I’m not a brochure. Let’s drive traffic to me and let me work my magic.

You may be thinking that I’m asking for too much, but 2010 is halfway over and I don’t want to become obsolete moving into this decade. On the contrary, I want to be a fundamental part of this company’s team.

If you have any questions, you know where to find me.

Sincerely,

Your Website
