Dear People

This is an open letter I am writing after accumulating a lot of courage inside me.
Remember that good looking guy, Robbie who ruled every girl’s heart at one point from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham? Well he’s my ex-boyfriend.
We were seeing each other for around an year and that’s when I started noticing the perks of being a failure in industry.

I was still a newbie in Mumbai and had been here for only 3 months when one day my friend asked me, “hey you want to meet Vikas Sethi?”

I wouldn’t deny the fact that I jumped at the idea.
We became very good friends and initially I hadn’t noticed his alcoholism that much.
Soon enough he started asking me for money.
Correction: After gaining my trust, sympathy, friendship and love...he started asking me for money and time and again he asked me for a grand...or two grands or even 500 rs.

Nope I am not being a bitch here to make fun of my ex like this in public. Difficulties do arise in a person’s life, and so without being judgmental about it I used to give him that money...the money which actually belonged to my parents, who thought they are sending it to their daughter...the money I could use so wisely into building my own dreams...

Slowly and steadily I began to realize that he’s actually using me for money, through which he could buy alcohol every night. This was the reward of love and emotional support that was bestowed on him.

Sounds weird right? But it’s true!
He has been out of work for quite a while and again that too for his troublesome behavior on sets. People like him are black spots in the society.

And that’s precisely the reason why entire Entertainment industry has no work to offer him because he was too egoistic a man to ask for work but had no self esteem when it came to asking for money.

I tried my level best to make him leave alcohol and concentrate on work...tried and TRIED MY BEST! TRUST ME!
But he continued with his ways....started lying to me for money...literally asked me like a beggar and eventually I had to break up with him, again not just for his monetary dependence but because a saturation point had come where I could no longer take his alcoholism and lies.

The worse was yet to happen. His facebook account had kept logged in, in my phone and there I found a list of young girls in his Inbox asking him to return them their money he had borrowed rather conned them and extracted out of them. And not only girls but a few random men too who were asking him to return their money.

So now this man was not only a troublesome actor, an alcoholic but also a conman.
I am not issuing this letter in anyway for any kind of publicity as I have no interest in being known in this kind of a limelight....I am writing this letter to create an awareness in the society, among the people, among the young girls who should know that all that glitters is not gold.

This man can go to any extent to con a person, make up any random story to take out money from you...and I have been with him for around a year, and it’s enough to know a person who has been so close to you.

Please stay away from such a man, who indeed was a star at one point of time, but now the levels he has stooped down are absolutely ridiculous and not acceptable.

Take good care of yourselves and be safe!

Yours faithfully
