DEAR PARADOX INTERACTIVE AND CO MANAGERS AND PROGRAMMERS,

I purchased Cities: Skylines with the expectation that it would exceed the performance of SimCity. I was banking on the premise that the game would be a smooth sale for Mac (using a Mac Pro) unlike SimCity. To be fair; it was as such for a while.

However regrettably, the game has become more and more unstable and the problems has reached the threshold of becoming more and more annoying.

It appears that it was not actually “fully” ready for Mac environment and this is showing. To give three examples; the infamous Japanese / Zen Garden keeps on vanishing and coming back; I don't see most of the new buildings (such as public soccer field); I have to force quit the game to close Steam overlay. These are just three persistent issues. I am not even mentioning the inability to use most of the Modding functionality.

Given the nature of problems and instability mounting; my humble suggestion is; either bring down the game for Mac users, and put a dedicated team to fix the game; or, declare that there’s no quick fix in store to provide a perspective for our expectations.

I am sure you know but; SimCity had started with great expectations, and had made a clever move of determining a later date for Mac but when that date had finally arrived, unfortunately the release had been a half-baked product. I’m afraid the end-result of what is happening here could lead to the same outcome; we already have a half-baked product, with a lot of issues (for Mac at least).

I am aware that you are not as big as EA team and what you have achieved is highly commendable with a small team. However, knowing what it takes to maintain a stable environment, I would plea for giving dedicated resources before it gets out of hand, or declare failure and - if intended - provide a firm dealdine to Mac users for the resolution of their issues and of course stick to that deadline.

I also have a feeling that things (changes) are being loaded at the background assuming that this is not distorting / disrupting the game play, but when you take a look at it from my screen, it disrupts the game quite considerably. So, my second suggestion is to announce the timeframe of the updates are coming so that we mortals expect disruptions in that timeframe when changes are made.

So, over to you..

Best regards
