The faction that you have created within the staff team have certainly handled their objectives well. They disrespect the idea of administration, and tarnish the server’s name even further than I previously thought possible. You, and your ilk drag the reputation of the Calradian Roleplay Server through the mud with your actions both past and present. I have requested on more occasion than one that you resign. I have petitioned to multiple head admins, in particular Mark, Guts, and LeBean about having you removed. This has yet to occur, yet I kept believing the false promise that you would change your ways.
I was wrong in this. From the times that you blatantly broke the rules with Sullivan Gaines, to the metagaming that you have done by abusing your position as staff you have lost all trust I previously had in the next wave that will take up the mantle of leadership upon the server. Under your leadership the server went from a flourishing refuge of roleplay for all to enjoy to a shriveling corpse that is barely kept alive. Every decision that you have made while upon the staff team has not been made on the basis of whether or not it would be beneficial for the server, but instead whether it would be beneficial for you.
I am unafraid to admit what LeBean has been trying to say for quite some time. While I acknowledge that the role needed to be filled, I disagree that LeBean should have been the one to fill that role knowing what I know now. LeBean has been a weak leader which has only weakened the server and strengthened your own position within it. He refuses to be divisive in any matter. He attempts to compromise, but if he cannot achieve compromise he submits. He submits to those that are willing to break the rules, and he submits to those that should have been removed from the staff a long time ago.
When we were in the second scenario of CRP he refused to argue with Kingsman regarding the scenario. The referendum that we had made showed what the community wished, yet instead the server owner wished for something different. While that is his right, he should not have stated that he is stepping down from a position of power only to override staff decisions. In fact, if LeBean had argued that fact at the time I highly doubt you would still be upon the staff team. There is no excuse for showing this weakness in front of the community, and it absolutely destroys his credibility as a leader.
This weakness has only been exploited by yourself. I noticed this upon Bloodwine’s resignation that you have began a recruitment of sorts into the staff team of those who are like minded to your own ideologies. Those who are not afraid to bend the rules in their own favor such as Hrodgeir and Caro. While I have nothing against the pair in particular I do not believe they represent a professional face for the staff team and I have repeatedly stated this in my voting records. This isn’t even mentioning your campaign for Caro to achieve administrator status before her time.
Once again, I believe this is a power ploy enacted by you in an effort to keep your power from being taken away. You have taken a more passive role, yes, but I have spoken with several friends of myself who confirm that you are using others to speak for you in order to save face. I believe this to be a cowardly method of pushing your objectives, and in fact this is one of the reasons I am writing this as an open letter instead of privately communicating to you my beliefs.
Even if I were to speak with you I doubt that you would listen. You’ve not heeded my requests since the day that we met. We’ve argued on so many different fronts and agreed on such few motives but never once were you willing to compromise. You wished to push for your goal, and if a ruling was passed that you did not agree with you refused to enforce it while enforcing other regulations which were not even codified.
You banned several people for fighting out of character when you consistently do it yourself. You have failed to recourse the wrongs that you have submitted upon the community and I remember you even admitted once in a staff meeting that you would enforce rules that didn’t exist regardless of whether or not they passed because it strokes your misogynistic ego. This was especially evident when you were one of the main proponents of the rules regarding women and fighting upon the server. You attitude towards this is almost comparable to your reaction when the crafting rules were initially passed.
I remember very distinctly that you rigidly enforced that ruling on those who were not in your faction. Your presence during that time was almost overbearing to the various individuals attempting to roleplay craftsmen to the point that I could receive written statements that these same people quit the server due to your strict crackdown on them. These people were the ones who were outside of your faction, however. When it came to House Gaines you did not care if the rules affected them or not. You actively used your position as staff to ensure that their positions were secure and I can guarantee you that if a reputable craftsman of your faction had lost crafting privileges you would have been furious in your attempts to reinstate them into your faction.
So far I have only mentioned the examples that have been witnessed. So far I have only mentioned what could be proven, but here is where I am going to write on a touchy subject with yourself. What happened to the accusations of metagaming that had been brought up when you were playing Sullivan Gaines? Did those who brought those accusations silence themselves of their own accord, or did you have a role to play with that? I understand that being on the staff team we are open to public opinion. I understand that members of the community may bring false accusations against us, but this was on such a level that it was not an isolated event. In fact, I had witnessed it myself on more than one occasion.
One that I could mention off the top of my head was the Richwood event where you played a character that would torture and rape women. I remember that one particular case was brought to the staff team where you abused your powers as an admin by stating that the character had to be raped even if it were a fade to black scene despite the clear contradiction in the rules. I do not understand why you were so concerned with digitally raping a character on the game, but it does appear to be consistent with your personality type. After all, your actions have depicted you as a misogynist who only views women as an excuse to exploit.
Building upon the notion that you have abused your power as a staff member, can we mention the time that I had been called to deal with you OOC fighting the player of one of the Arianna Valance? I was only an enforcer at the time, but I brought it up. I also mentioned how she needed to roll to see if the dress was ripped while the pair of you ran around the Gaines castle with great swords hacking at each other. When I confronted you, you explicitly stated that you were handling the complaint yourself.
Does this mean that as staff we are above the rules? Do your actions reflect that we can judge ourselves rather than be subject to the same rules as the community? Your actions seem to reflect that, and I think the community would easily agree with me that your actions have consistently reflected negatively upon the staff team. Due to the standards that you hold yourself to the staff team has become reviled. The community views us as corrupt and I would concord that if you continue to place your supporters in positions of power then that complaint will be hard to defend against.
Your nepotism and prospect of rewarding those that promote your own means with position and rank within the server is a clear example of this corruption. While I believe that you will shrug this off, and laugh along this is still going to be a written and archived presence against you. I do not believe you will like that. Would you delete it, however? It brings up legitimate concerns in a format that puts yourself in a precarious situation. If you leave this up then this will remain as a stain upon you, however if you take it down or ban me then that only furthers to prove your corruption.
That conduct shows that you are unable to take criticism in a polite format. It shows that you are the lesser person, which I have suspected for quite some time. It interests me to believe that you would legitimately attempt to censor a member of the community for speaking their mind and bringing up grievances that have yet to be resolved. These grievances inflicted upon the server need to be corrected before they spiral out of control.
That spiral would be absolutely devastating for the server as I have maintained throughout the body of this letter. It would prove to all within the Warband community that roleplay in the game is either dead or dying. The last vestige of roleplay being Calradian Roleplay and with that falling to corruption after standing stalwart for so many months will cause people to lose hope. This is why I ask a very simple request. This request I believe you will find laughable due to the arrogant personality type you are afflicted with.
I request only that you resign so that my arguments are proven false. I want for you to prove to me that you are a better person in a digital format than you portray yourself to the community. I want to see you give up the power you have worked to achieve just as I have. I feel as if there is nothing left for me on the staff team, and I feel that with your greatest opponent gone then you will have unchallenged reign over the staff team.
LeBean will submit you any request that you make because he lacks the divisiveness that is required of a true leader. Mark showed these qualities multiple times through his career as a head admin. Shin, while never a head admin showed these qualities with the work that he put into the server. Loki shows these qualities today with what is required of him while, once again, declining the position of head admin. All of these people have sacrificed from their personal lives in order to do what has been best for the server.
They have all been better people than either yourself or LeBean in that regard. While I believe that LeBean is a genuinely decent person, he lacks these qualities that people look for in leadership. His own staff barely respects him and quite frankly blatantly ignores what he has said. The times that he does happen to push for change he does it in the wrong way. Perhaps that is why he is afraid. The only time that he managed to accomplish something as head admin aside from paying for the server is when he purged the inactive staff members.
The only issue with that was the execution. He purged those who had contributed the most and inadvertently put the power into the hands of the clique you appear to have been slowly developing over the course of the last few months. He managed to open that doorway for you to stroll through, and being the morally ambiguous opportunist that you are, you strolled straight through it.
This is why I implore for your resignation. It will prove everything written in this letter wrong. It will prove that you are not on the staff team simply to abuse your power and elevate your status on the server since you appear to be ineffective at doing that in your personal life. That is alright, though, and I beg of you not to take offence at my observations. Your overconfident attitude is only a cover up I have realized. That is alright, however, as we all need our own outlets. You need a sense of control within your life and that is perfectly alright,
It is alright that you want control, but that does not mean that you should take that control over people who have been trying to enjoy themselves. In every conversation I have with why people have quite the server, these same people have always brought you up as a poster for the corruption that is so prevalent in the staff team. This corruption needs to be removed, starting with me and perhaps continuing with you.
While I have never purposefully abused my power as a staff member, I feel as if I cannot effectively lead whenever I am surrounded by vultures waiting to pick apart what they can from the server. To take what they can from the donations, and then leave those of us who did truly care without enough funds to pay for the server. While this is digital, Alloo, real money is involved. I am not sure if your miniscule mind can effectively process that, but I beg it can. I implore that you see the reason I request that you resign.
That request is not for any personal gain of myself. I am proving that by resigning and pulling myself from the Warband roleplay community. This is something I ask for the betterment of the staff team and the server. Perhaps if you resign it will give you the semblance of control that you crave. It will have been of your own volition. It will have been your choice, and that gives you the chance to restart doing whatever you wish.
I request that you make the decision soon, however, as I do not believe another opportunity will present itself. This opportunity is rare enough and neither of us know when you will receive it once again for I fear that if you do not resign you will eventually become the head admin of a dead server only to realize how little control you have at that point. This is where you can take that control. This is where you can have a sort of power over yourself. It starts with you, so I request one last time that you resign so that all of us can overcome this dark chapter in the history of Warband roleplay.
