To the Electoral College Voters

Subject: To the Electoral College Voters

For lack of a better way to write this and so much to say I'm just going to bullet point what I want to say. First I am a 54 year old woman who votes, is aware of what is going on. I was born and raised in Chicago and spent the last 16 years across the street from O'Hare.

Section 1 The Elector job as I see it is to use some of these, and more I assume, guidelines to see who best fits those. These are ones I am always going back to in my arguing.

1. If one possesses at least one of the following criteria they are unfit. He fits all three: Unfit, Demagogue and holds an enormous amount of Conflicts of Interest.
2. You are supposed to elect the most qualified.
3. While I understand this is a daunting decision, I strongly believe that personal feelings, religion and politics should be totally kept out of the decision you make. It is not fair to those who think differently and isn’t that what democracy is all about anyway? Partisan politics MUST be kept out of this. Period. I’ve read about people making deals… that is partisan politics and nothing less. Remember I am from Chicago and I have roots in small rural America.
4. If you “vote your conscience” and the like, there are possible repercussions which I believe to be minimal monetary and legal ones. Some of the best minds have publicly said they will be taken care of pro pro bono.
5. Put country first. And I add think about the world implications of your decision, whatever it might be. Keep politics, personal feelings and religion out of it.
6. Intrusions of our election in any way shape or form is not allowed and should make the election null and void. Thus, having another election or the EC voting for another or it goes to the judicial branch(es).
7. What seems to be happening is each elector is zoning in on one thing instead of the whole picture.

Section 2 Reasons not to vote for Trump. The way I see this one of these should be enough but he has hundreds. RED FLAG. Let me remind you of some that constantly come to my mind.

1. 17 agencies believe Russia helped in electing T. His own ties along with the people he is putting in positions are all pro-Russian. RED FLAG.
2. The FBI/Comey letter was what I would like to say, a total Chicago move. So much more, will come out of that alone.
3. He has consistently and constantly lied, incited violence, mocked the disabled and discounted facts about everything that does not go his way. He has conned millions of people. RED FLAG.
4. He has threatened and continues to threaten people, religions, organizations, other politicians, newspapers/magazines and other countries. Not an attribute we do here. A free society cannot exist if this happens. He will continue to do this. The latest, wanting of names who work for the EPA who worked on climate change. RED FLAG.
5. Tweets. A world leader can’t tweet his way around. His frustration with a legendary comedy show and acting like a spoiled child is embarrassing to say the least.
6. He discounts the media, sounds authoritarian to me and others. RED FLAG. We are a democracy.
7. He picks fights with anyone who disagrees with him. How is going to deal in the world stage? You have to be a thick-skinned person, he is not.
8. He is seemingly not educating himself about very little if anything and doesn’t care to. RED FLAG. You cannot run the government like a business. I used to think so until I understood how things work. I have personal experience in dealing with government systems.
9. He is a bully. What does that say? It’s okay to bully to get what you want. NOT in America it does not.
10. He surrounds himself with racists and believers in conspiracy theories. RED FLAG.
11. He is putting his kids in places they should not even be close to. He is refusing to liquidate or but his businesses in a blind trust. Jimmy Carter, sold his peanut farm to not have any conflicts of interest. Jeez.
12. The dozen so far picks are older white men who don’t believe in climate change, women’s rights, equality for all regardless of race, religion, orientation and creed to name a few. Several are opposed to what the agencies stand for. They have NO experience and the military he 3 or 4 points all need waivers. REALLY? That makes no sense other than to have a personal agenda and it clear there is one shaping up and it's not good. The Goldman Sacs execs are responsible for the last recession and he has 3 of them for agencies that they don't belong in again, other than for a personal agenda. That's not right in any way shape or form. RED FLAG. Again, NOT the platform that won the election/popular vote.
13. His kids. I don't have to say another thing.

Section 3 Who and why to vote for, and I respectfully ask and demand  that it be,

1. Hillary Clinton. She won the popular vote by almost 3 MILLION, the most in history. What that says is, We The People, have voted to continue the direction we have taken for the last 16 years. Hillary only lost the election in 3 counties by 107k and less than 1% in two states. Those numbers are astoundingly close. I do believe the pre-election polls, exit polls and am extremely suspicious of the numbers, they don't add up. I am also question the legitimacy of this election. I wonder what else do you need to know to vote for Hillary Clinton? In 2000 when Gore lost by 500k I would say you have an argument of sticking with the way the state voted, except this election she got 2.5 million MORE than her opponent. We the People spoke that. I see not one reason to take her out of the equation for your vote for President. It was a contest between T and Hillary Clinton. If you need more reasons below are a few more and a couple thoughts.
2. We didn’t fight Gore/Bush and have done nothing to either revamp or get rid of the Electoral College. The way the people are talking and the states are making laws, the EC will be gone. I would rather see it used for the reasons it was designed to do. It needs to be revamped before the next selection. In using it for what is was written, Hillary Clinton should be elected to be our 45th President. Hillary Clinton is the MOST QUALIFIED in the history of races to compete, and got the most votes. She has dedicated her life to public service, agree with her or not, has made positive changes, been the first Lady of the President and Governor, been Secretary of State all very successfully, knows the players and the system. Like her personally or not should not be a consideration of yours. She is the most qualified to ever run for President.
3. Hillary Clinton, will be more than happy to work with the republicans as she has always done. Should another republican be voted in, well, he was not elected by anyone except 538 people we the people do not know, did not vote for and it for those reasons I ask you to listen to the people. Personally, Hillary Clinton needs to be elected.
4. Not having T in White House, will be calming and not a danger to the world and that’s great, but, electing another republican just because T is a republican, is not part of your job. Your job is to vote for who is the most qualified. Any other vote except for Hilllary would result in an imbalance in the system with all branches being R lead. Why should the democrats do anything with a congress who does what they want regardless of what the people want. Voting for Hillary Clinton would even the unfair playing field we are now in. We the People, have spoken and allowed the congress, senator and house to be run by republicans but did not choose a republican for President. Period. We trusted the politicians and they are letting us down immensely and they have disappointed us by not representing what we want. And that goes for both sides. And now you want to put more republicans in? Partisan Politics. Stop it. Just Stop it. Please.
4. If you think there will be chaos after electing Hillary Clinton, you’re right there will be but not for long. The chaos of another person will be far far worse for us in the states but worldwide for generations. Hillary Clinton is thoughtful and listens things that we desperately need now. T has done one good thing, he allowed us to see what needs to be added to the enormous list of things we need to concentrate on and make it a priority. Education of the system being one. Involvement another.
5. Mental health of the country and world. I believe that hundreds of thousands if not a few million will have long term serious effects from this. (Don’t get me started on medical issues and insurance.) I am one. I am sure you are aware of the facts, therapists are too busy to see everyone, bullying has skyrocketed, attacks on people who are not white straight looking white males are being attacked. She has been a champion for those in need. We are in desperate need of someone who understands this. Another republican cannot stop this like she can, they cannot bring a nation together they never have for the long run, they could not bring a world together like she will be able to do and has.
6. Hillary Clinton will be the first woman President/leader of the free world. What does that say about our democracy? It says we truly are a democratic society. It says we believe in our systems of which the Electoral College is embroiled in. It says we believe in equality and how do you think that will help the women in the world. Think about that. It is our time. I’ve seen enough. Sometimes we need a woman’s touch. A mom. We need that steady, work-acholic, intelligent, firm and fair person which Hillary Clinton is to lead us and the world. We voted for this. We the People voted for Hillary Clinton for our President. No denying that. This is not a popularity contest. We need to think about the whole picture here.
7. We need to set our country back on track. You can do that by voting for the person who the People elected, Hillary Clinton. Please.

Thank you for reading this. Hopefully I will have at least gotten you to consider her if not have changed your mind. The Cubs won the World Series, why not this.
