POLICE BRUTALITY IN THE UNITED STATES.

Police brutality in the united states, it is an issue to the entire public. There is not one, not two, not even three groups this is to. This is for everyone. There are numerous examples of it. If I just mentioned the words “police shoot down black male!” you would know who I’m talking about, because everyone has an experience with it.

Oscar Grant was shot dead by Bay Area Rapid Transit police officer Johannes Mehserle in 2009 in Oakland, California. Mehserle and other police officers had been responding to reports of a fight, and arrested and handcuffed Grant and several others in a subway station. Grant was cuffed, unarmed and lying on the ground when Mehserle pulled out his gun and shot him in the back. He later received only 2 years in jail. This is just one example, and you can see how bad it is

Christopher Harris was walking home in 2009 in Seattle when sheriff's deputy Matthew Paul slammed him into a wall after mistaking him for an assault suspect. Paul was left in a coma this incident was one, which should never have happened. The fact that he received no punishment, makes it even worse. The point of police brutality, is that they can do what they want. Almost no consequences. Almost like the court, in the famous novel “the crucible.”

Police brutality is one subject we do not want to endure. One, in which should not be needed to be talked about. They were instructed to protect us. Instead, the police turned their backs on us, and repeatedly tortured and manhandled us. We will stand no longer for it.

Police brutality, it is a touchy subject. It is one in which we need to do something about it. The fact that the police are allowed to do what they want, its ridiculous. Something needs to be done, and it should be done soon. This letter is to everyone. The entire united states need to rebel against this problem. If nothings done, it might come back to haunt you…
