First off, I would like to say that I am in no way judging anyone who was a part of this election or articles. I hold no judgment, only concern for each and every person who voted in favor of Karen Oliveto and those who are accepting this act of disobedience to God's Word. I am greatly concerned for the people who are ignorant to the truth, and the children who are now being taught that not only is being LGBT okay, but that God condones it and maybe even encourages it! I was quite shocked at the level of acceptance on this matter. My main questions are: Where are all the true Christians? Where are the Elders of the church to lift up God's Word in desperate times? Will nobody stand up and give the true Word of the Lord Jesus Christ?
The church (I am referring to the body of Christ) needs to be most persistent on telling the TRUE Word of God and correcting the ignorant and corrupt. John 1:1 states: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Allowing a woman lesbian bishop is going directly against the Word, which in turn means against God himself, for which holds great punishment. This is my basis:
1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of every woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
2 Timothy 2:5
And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
This scripture I set apart because I want to make a point. If man must strive lawfully to be crowned, and man is the head of woman, wouldn't this mean that women must also strive lawfully to be part of the body of God? Just keep these two scriptures for a starter.
Now, let's start with the fact that you have elected a woman for bishop. Here is the exact biblical guideline of what a person MUST be to become a bishop.
1 Timothy 3:1-7
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
If you recap it uses the terms: man, husband, he, him and his.
Let us now look at the fact that this woman bishop is lesbian. These are some scriptures that hit on that subject.
Leviticus 18:22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 1:26-32
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient: Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
1 Timothy 1:7-11
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Jude 1:7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
These are just some of the scriptures that indicate the entire situation is ungodly. I notice that people are calling this progressive. I'll have you know that the Lord never changes. The word progressive means to develop gradually, grow, or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas. And while I'm at it I will tell you that a liberal idea is to be open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values. Those who called this progressive were exactly right, the only problem is that if the Lord and the Word never change, then the Bible and church cannot biblically be progressive. This is a sin, a deadly sin to change the Word of God. In Hebrews 13:8-9 it says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.” God also said in Revelations 22:18-21 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The great thing about this situation, though, is that even through all of this disobedience there is still hope through the Lord Jesus Christ. John 6:47 says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life." And Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." John 8:10-12 "When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn the: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." And lastly I want to include the well know scripture John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Praise God everyone has a chance! I know Karen Oliveto may sound convincing but she is giving false doctrine. Pray and study the Word of God for yourselves and God will reveal the truth to you. I pray that you all may come to the Lord Jesus Christ and follow him and his glorious Word!
Also, Karen Oliveto, if you are reading this (and I hope you are) please consider exactly what you are waging on this worldly lifestyle. You are playing with your eternity, here, and not just yours but all of your followers. When the time comes and this world passes away the choices you made do not. Your choice will determine your eternity, do you really want to risk it for even a moment (especially over a sexual partner and a title?) I pray that the Lord softens your heart and humbles you down to receive him and all his glory. I pray that he shows an abundance of mercy and grace on you and your followers. I pray that he saves your soul. I pray that he gives you spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear him with. I pray that when you truly receive him within your heart, that he will bless you more than I. Amen.
