Dear Hippies:

Everyone knows of how you guys really want to help the planet. By promoting veganism, pacifism and volunteering in other countries of the world via different organizations, that is how you hippies help out. Well here I propose another way of helping out as your ways are promoting the death of our lovely planet.
In every ecosystem there is a set amount of organisms that it can hold. A carrying capacity, as it is called in the field of ecology, and we are reaching our limit here on Earth. I propose that many of you should change your views on war and the ideal of pacifism, as well as your view of helping everyone on the planet because by doing so, you are helping this planet reach its end. The reason I am speaking about this is because there are too many people on this planet. Too many for this planet to support. The planet grows weak with the amount of people on it. With this in mind I believe that wars are a means to help control the population.
The 18th century philosopher Thomas Malthus once published an essay on the future end of humanity. In this essay he states “The power of population is so superior to the power of the Earth to produce subsistence for man, that premature death must in some shape or other visit the human race.” This premature death could be War itself. War kills many people with the famines and diseases that it unleashes as well as by the wagers of War itself. The war that brought with it the most casualties is the second World war killing 40 million people, which was about 3% of the world’s population at that time (about 2.3 billion). If this were to be scaled up to the current population of about 7 billion then 3% would be 210 million people. This is roughly the equivalent of removing the population of Brazil in it’s entirety.
