To My Long Distance Best Friend:

Today is just one of those days where I miss you more than usual. Living 615 miles apart from you isn't easy, to say the least. There are days when I want to just call you up and say, "Hey, meet me at Starbucks in ten, okay?", but I can't, unless I get in my car and drive for nine straight hours. Today I realized that I never really get the chance to tell you how much you mean to me. So how about I do that today, okay?

Some people say long distance friendships are hard... and maybe they're right. But here we are, three years after you moved away, and we're still the best friends that can talk for hours on end without running out of things to say.The truth is- being apart from you sucks. It breaks my heart when I can't be there to give you a hug when you're having a bad day. It's hard, when all I want to do is have a girls night with you, and you're not here. For all the hard times though, there have been so many good times, and there is so much I'm thankful for about you.

Thank you for knowing me better than I know myself sometimes. Thank you for always knowing what to say when I need advice. Thank you for being the listening ear when I need to vent. Thank you for being understanding when life gets busy and we don't talk for two weeks. Thank you for picking up right where we left off. Thank you for listening to my awkward boy situations as if you were right next to me, and giving me advice. Thank you for showing me how to do the perfect messy bun. Thank you for teaching me how to talk with guys (because let's face it- I used to be really awkward)! Thank you for being an example of positivity, grace, and kindness, even in the craziest of times.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that you are such an important part of my life, and I wouldn't want to go a day without you. Can't wait to see you in 99 days!

This one's for you, my gorgeous long distance bestie, Brie.

Much love, Em
