Last year God revealed my purpose, so I am in the process of launching a career as a Cultural Inclusion Coach Consultant and Inspirational Social Change Speaker. I know without a doubt that this is my calling, because it was my career goal to become a psychologist, I studied for years and I was a year away from receiving my doctorate. That goal was put on hold indefinitely.
Moreover, I  suffer from anxiety and social anxiety, so pursuing a career in which public speaking is involved would not have been my choice, but God's plan overruled my own.

In the meantime, in order to launch my career, I need to seek those who will be willing to open doors that I am unable to access. Therefore, while conducting a Google search on starting my own business and other relevant information. I by chance happen upon Steve Harvey's Jump speech I was curious to know what it was about, so I clicked the link.

I read the transcript of the speech which enticed me to go further and actually watch the inspirational speech Mr. Harvey gave during an episode of Family Feud.  I was wowed and inspired.  I truly believe that the universe wanted me to find Mr Harvey's speech, read, watch it, and then jump.  A day or two later, I was shopping at a Walmart market and while waiting to check out, I noticed Mr. Harvey's book, Jump: Take the Leap of Faith Achieve Your Life of Abundance, on a book rack. Once again I thought the universe was speaking to me, so I begin to write and email letters to Steve Harvey, Robin Roberts, Gayle King, and the CEO of Pepsi (shortly after the debacle with the Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial), but my thoughts were these public figures receive thousands of emails, it is doubtful they will they ever get a chance to read mine or if so respond.

However,  I shook off the negativity an thought hmmm... At a time in this country where there is civil unrest, racial, and other discord, I thought if by chance one or more of these public figures read my email, why wouldn't they be interested in helping an individual to achieve their God ordained purpose, which is to promote cultural understanding and harmony.

In addition, the following Oprah quote provided me with further inspiration:

"Wherever you are, that is your stage your circle of influence.  That is your talk show, that is where your power lies....You have the power to change somebody's life.  Everyone has a calling and your real job in life is to figure out what that is and about the business of doing it."

I have been shown my calling, am about the business of doing it, and I am jumping and as foolish as I feel writing this open letter to post online, it is with a glimmer of optimism that I believe philanthropists, celebrities, athletes, and CEOs of corporate organizations will read this letter, be my parachute, and respond to my request.

I am not seeking a handout and I am not seeking fame, I only want the chance to give a presentation, to show what I can do, present my ideas, and hopefully secure sponsorships to host a cultural healing and harmony event in the city where I reside.

My educational background and my life experiences I have to share, far outweigh my work experience.  I am tired of my life repeating year after year; unable to obtain steady work, struggling financially, dreading the future, while knowing all the while in my heart I have what it takes to inspire change, I just need someone to give me a break.

When June arrives, the  rest of the year will be over in a blink of an eye and I desperately need to accomplish something before then. Please someone open the door for me, so I can host my event and embark on my calling and career as a Cultural Inclusion Coach Consultant  and Inspirational Social Change Speaker. Finally, in the immortal words of Rosa Parks:

"I would like to be known as a person who is concerned about freedom and equality and justice and prosperity for all people."

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Patrissha
