Dear people of Folkestone,

My name is Emily. I am 29 years old and live on the Dover Road. I moved down here from London 7 years ago - but year-by-year I have seen Folkestone become Fly Tip Central.

There is not a day goes by when I walk my dog when I see mattresses, televisions, microwaves, fridges, freezers, sofas, bed frames -- and I am getting sick and tired of it.

I am just one woman with an iPhone. And I am taking to social media to lead a campaign called #FlyTipFolkestone

Given Government Cutbacks - Our Council - Shepway needs to find ways of making it self sustainable. Why do you think they charge for lost dogs or for a pick up of white goods?

I do not blame Shepway.

I blame the people who buy a new mattress for £500 and suddenly can't afford the £25 to come pick up the old one.

So I am making my social media profile www.twitter.com/FolkeyFlyTip to name and shame the roads, residents and people who think it is acceptable to slam down their rubbish and expect Shepway to pick it up.

All I will say, is that it is great Shepway has a Report Fly Tipping online feature. But answer me this. I have a dog on Smallpox Hill and I do not know the postcode?

Shepway is very very very active on social media. They do a good job on social.

So what I am calling on - all of you - to take photos. Hashtag #FolkestoneFlyTip and let's show them instantly where the fly tipping is happening!

Lots of love

E
