Crime

Reader, The news reported by the Washington Times Herald on July 8 of TJ Hill’s prosecution was an outrageous and devastating injustice. More than a year after his initial arrest, when it was reported that Hill had been accused of sexual misconduct with multiple underage girls, reading that he would serve no jail time begs many questions about those in charge of identifying justice in our community. What kind of crime is worth truly punishing, according to Daviess County Prosecutor Dan Murrie? Which details in the case’s probable cause affidavit led Pike County Judge Jeffrey Biestervield to agree to what is, undoubtedly, a light sentence? What privilege does Hill possess that would allow him to go free? Could it be his history as a former reserve officer for the city of Washington?...

General Mark A. Milley, Joint Chiefs of Staff Dear General Milley: regarding the recent disclosure of your statement on former President Trump as being 'of the gospel of the Fuhrer', allow me to inform you that powers more criminal than Trump are active within our democracy, powers that began their operations prior to his election. Please allow me to quote President Lincoln. "The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace, and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than monarchy and more insolent than autocracy. I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my people, my country. Corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption will follow and the money power of the country...

Evil Expose: Abusive Seminarian Monday, October 28, 2013 AN OPEN LETTER I would like to appeal to the respected heads of St. Paul Seminary Foundation to investigate, take hold, and reprimand Andrew Smith Villarico Gamilla, a noted alumnus of your institution. He currently serves in one of the parishes of Cavite under the Diocese of Imus and has avidly expressed the intention of pursuing the priesthood vocation. However, with deep anguish and trepidation, I am exposing his unchristian acts of womanizing. His manipulative approach to women involves false promises of fidelity, commitment, and secrecy. In the hope that St. Paul Seminary Foundation will exert its full authority on this matter as soon as possible, I am sharing the details of my personal two-year relationship with him...

To All the Cyber Thieves out there, We want to say we're shocked, or even angry. And we are, obviously. None of us expected to endure this pain. And some of us didn't expect it twice. We didn't expect to be fucked over a second time by our banks, or the government, but some of us were. And we're all royally pissed, of course, at those groups. But that pales in comparison to how we feel about you. See, we can respect common thieves, pickpockets, con men, swindlers, hoaxers, muggers, burglars, and even robbers. We can respect the man with a gun pointed at our heads in a dark alley. We can even respect the woman who swipes our phones and wallets while we drink. We can respect them. Granted, we're respectful because they're threatening us. But we respect them nonetheless. What they do...

Dear FBI, I’d like to share this with you in case anything happens to me. I am a domestic violence survivor, however, I feel the threat is still imminent. The case regarding the above matter is currently still pending. It is my belief this is due to my ethnicity as I am an African American woman and my abuser is a Caucasian man. This is my truth. First off, we all know racism is alive in America. Which is partly the reason I believe the case has been dragged on for so long. Granted the pandemic did slow things down, however, it had been a year prior to the start of the pandemic when I was physically assaulted. I do not have faith in the American justice system as it pertains to justice for African Americans. That is the reason I did not call 911 on the night I was attacked by...

Mr. Kevin Stitt, I am writing to you today to report an injustice that has been left unpunished by a state court in Oklahoma, and to speak in defense of victims of rape and sexual assault. According to Statista, Oklahoma reported 2,268 cases of forcible rape in 2019, and the number of examinations performed to collect evidence of sexual assault rose by 13% in 2018 over 2017. However, despite a significant increase in reports, the number of cleared rape cases dropped by 44% over the last two decades. According to the National Violence Against Women Prevention Research Center, rape survivors are 6.2 times more likely to develop PTSD than women who have never been victims of crime. One-third of rape victims said they seriously considered suicide, and survivors are generally 26...

This quarter I participated in a project where I analyzed the idea of defunding the police and whether it had any validity or not. In my research I found that the statistics of police brutality are alarming, and have deeply rooted racial undertones that do not seem to be going away anytime soon. I also found that police forces have widespread instances of corruption, including theft of property and physical violence. It is a huge problem that affects the feeling of trust civilians have in their police force, and also their safety. In fact, the overall trust in the police is at an all time low, as only 48% of people have confidence in the police (Gallup 2020). San Luis Obispo is not free from blame in this problem of police mistrust. Instances like that of former Officer Russ Griffith of...

February 20, 2021 Dear Ms. Siemon, This letter is written to raise public awareness and in protest of your two office policies as noted here that impact both murder victims and public safety in Ingham County. 1) Your across the board, blanket policy to offer plea deals to all offenders, including those who commit violent crimes ranging from animal abuse to outright pre-meditated murder, whose cases come before you as Ingham County Prosecutor. 2) Your review of past first-degree murder cases for ultimate possible commutation by the governor that were duly prosecuted, convicted and sentenced under Michigan law before you took office. It’s hard to know where to begin when addressing a prosecutor who favors leniency for brutal murderers over the safety of the public and...

We The People, due to recent BLM protests, a polarized Congress, the Plandemic, and the arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell and "suicide" of her boss Jeffery Epstein, now have a unique opportunity to expose a multitude of government crimes, starting with the most heinous listed below. There are major pedophile rings being operated for the wealthiest elite in the world. They are not above the law. If the DOJ fails to continue with the arrests all the way to the top, hackers will expose the rest of these perverts, and we can petition our volunteer state militias to make citizen arrests on our behalf. PLEASE REMEMBER THE WORDS OF THOMAS JEFFERSON... When the people fear the government, tyranny reigns. When the government fears the people, liberty prevails. Source: FBI files and #...

As Fellows of the Blackburn Institute, we proudly join the nationwide chorus demanding justice for the senseless murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other people of color. For more than thirty years, the Blackburn Institute has nurtured ethical leaders for the state of Alabama and the nation. An institution dedicated to progress in a deeply conservative setting, we take pains to be non-partisan so that no member feels alienated or marginalized. In many circumstances and on many issues, that is necessary and correct. But on issues of race and equal justice, there can be no neutrality. People of color across America are shouting to be heard. They are protesting generations of systemic injustice that leaves black and brown communities more...
